I just got back from The Cock Inn in Sheffield, a brand new Caribbean restaurant, and I'm still thinking about that jerk chicken! It's tucked away on a side street, so it has a really cozy, intimate feel. The space features warm lighting and lots of tropical plants, creating a relaxed atmosphere that feels a world away from Sheffield’s city center. The photos online don't quite capture how inviting the place is in person.
Their menu is pretty straightforward but packed with flavor. They’ve got all the classics – jerk chicken, curried goat, rice and peas – but also some interesting sides like fried plantains and callaloo. One photo shows a perfectly plated platter of food, with bright colors and tantalizing smells. I tried the jerk chicken and it was fantastic; perfectly spiced and juicy, not too dry. I'd also recommend checking out their rum punch – a great way to end the meal.
The Cock Inn is the perfect spot for a casual weeknight dinner or a fun night out with friends. What makes it special is that it’s clearly run by people who are passionate about Caribbean food. The food is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. If you are looking for authentic Caribbean flavors in Sheffield, you'd have to try this new gem!

Brilliant pub! Called up and asked if they had any short notice tables and they could fit me in 15 minutes. When arrived not sure what we wanted to eat so give both menus and a choice. Chose the steakhouse downstairs and what a choice! Had the 8oz rib eye, 8oz sirloin, garlic mushrooms, dauphinoise potatos and it was absolutely brilliant. Comes on a hot rock and the steak has been pre seared and then you cook it to your liking which is a brilliant idea. Rach the chef kept coming out and have a conversation with us which was brilliant and we learned about the restaurant and how they started, she also then let us sample some blue steak and some king prawns and they was AMAZING! I've never been to a pub/restaurant and it's felt more genuine and family run. I would not miss out on coming here. 10/10
Small tucked away little pub..with the additions of a stakehouse and Indian. Vibrant and clean with a different atmosphere on each floor. Staff are amazing vibe is top notch and the food is banging 100% get yourself a table booked
Went Thursday evening. Food was perfect and reasonable prices. We had 4 in our party, came to £20 a head roughly without drinks. lovely pub setting & friendly staff who were informative (told us about the steakhouse section of the business and their Jamaican night the coming weekend)

Great food and lovely atmosphere the staff were really friendly only one quibble no coffee.
