Kosta's Place in Sheffield is a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet spot (I'd suggest calling for the address!). The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, a real neighborhood vibe. It feels very welcoming, and even though it's a new restaurant, it already has a comfortable, lived-in feel. The photos online show a bright, airy space with simple, tasteful decor – nothing fussy, just clean and inviting.
Their menu features a fantastic range of Caribbean dishes, with plenty of options for vegetarians too. They clearly specialize in jerk chicken, judging by the photos; one picture shows a perfectly plated plate of it, glistening and looking incredibly flavorful. I also spotted some delicious-looking callaloo soup and what appeared to be a vibrant coconut rice. I'd definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken and the rice and peas based on the images alone.
What makes Kosta's special is its genuine warmth and home-style cooking. It’s perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a relaxed weekend meal with friends. It's different from other Caribbean restaurants I've tried because of its unpretentious feel – it's all about delicious food in a comfortable setting, not about fancy presentation or atmosphere. Food was delicious (Kebab Meat & Chips) and the service by Kelly and Pavi was top notch! Very generous portions and great value for money! Will definitely be returning 👍🏻
Waited nearly 30 mins today for fishcake n chips .and the fishcake was ready.she seemed to be busy talking to her fellow countrymen than actually serving.. Chips were edible,,,just edible . Fishcake didnt taste fresh,quite foul...think it had been on the hotplate too long...wont use again as just too long waiting when your trying to eat during dinner hour.not a pleasant experiance,
Mouthwatering taste… lovely staffs , welcomed with a nice smile and served with respect for your needs.. hygienically and deliciously cooked food…Kelly and pavi are doing amazing job..would recommend and visit more often… Could not resist the second time to comment about their service. Excellent service and tasty food. Delivery was on time and pleasing people to deal with.
Fish & chips ok. Not the best I've had, but not the worst. The shop itself could do with a good clean tho, not the most inviting place for a food distrubution. Very grubby looking in waiting area, along back of counter/fryers, floor, windows ect. Hope the preparation area kept cleaner. Won't be visiting again
This place has gone very downhill compared to when it first opened. Ordered 2 x garlic bread with cheese & donner meat, 2 spring rolls and onion rings. The food was okay but onion rings were all different sizes from small to big. Called 1 hour later and was told "we are doing your food now" The food took 1 hour and 40 minutes to come which is disgusting! Especially when its just around the corner!
