Cubana Tapas Bar in Sheffield is a really cool find! It's tucked away a bit, so you might need to hunt around, but the atmosphere inside is fantastic; bright and lively with a really fun, buzzing vibe. The photos online showed a nicely decorated space, with lots of warm lighting and comfortable-looking seating – perfect for a casual night out.
The menu is packed with classic tapas, but with a definite Cuban twist. They have all the usual suspects like patatas bravas, but also some more unusual dishes that sounded amazing. One photo showed a perfectly plated ropa vieja – that's definitely going on my list for next time! They also had a great selection of cocktails, which looked delicious.
What makes Cubana special is that it feels genuinely authentic, without being stuffy. It’s perfect for a group of friends catching up, a date night, or even a fun after-work drink. It's a welcome addition to the Sheffield food scene and definitely one I'll be returning to soon – I think it will become a popular spot in no time.

Lovely interior, service and a place that really transports you. Amazing drink selection to boot too. I will surely be coming back. Opted for the daytime set menu, which comes with a huge amount of food and some excellent food, at that. Particular noteworthy tapas for me were the black olive and mixed herb tapenade with ciabatta, the turkey and chorizo and the pan fried tiger prawns.
Staff were friendly and witty, joking around with each other and the guests. This helped to create a positive, upbeat atmosphere. The food was delicious. With so many tasty items on the menu it was hard to make a choice. Live music also added to the nice atmosphere. I will definitely come back here when visiting Sheffield again.
Came here as a party of 6, given a lovely round table that spins. Each ordered 2 tapas as a side. Good had excellent portions, all meat was incredibly tender, particularly the lamb and steak. The meatballs were packed with flavour aslong side all other dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was delivered quickly. Atmosphere was great with good music and very well designed interior Would definitely recommend and go again
I would love to give this 5/5 because of the food but there are a couple of reasons for the mark down. The first is that it is incredibly noisy, it is really hard to hear the person next to you let alone diagonally. Such a shame as it was for a group catch-up, (we are all in our early 30s) The second is the toilets, they were absolutely awful! Glad I visited after I had ate my food. Toilet rolls were empty as well. The food itself was very nice, lots of vegetarian options, so many it was hard to choose what to have! I really recommend the mushroom croquettes they were absolutely gorgeous. The sweet potato and pepper dish was extremely dry. My friends also said a couple of their dishes were quite dry as well. On the whole we enjoyed it. A group of 6 and our bill was around £146 so not too bad considering we all ate 2-3 tapas and sides and had drinks
Wow. Came today and both me and my sister agree it was some of the nicest food we've eaten in a while. So tasty, quick service, attentive and polite staff. Will definitely be back and have already sang it's praises and recommended to the partner and parents! Highly recommend
