About Waakye Joint Northampton

Caribbean Restaurant in Northampton

Stepping into Waakye Joint Northampton felt like a mini-vacation. It's a bright, clean space; I noticed from the photos online that the food is beautifully displayed, and that was certainly true in person. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a friendly buzz – perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. It felt genuinely homely.

The menu focuses on Caribbean cuisine, with dishes like jollof rice, beef stew, plantains, and puff puff. One photo showed a perfectly plated portion of jollof rice, vibrant red and fragrant-looking. They offer a good variety, and based on the reviews, their customer service is top-notch, happily explaining unfamiliar dishes. I’d definitely recommend trying their jollof rice – if the photos are anything to go by, it's a must-try.

Today I came to the shop and I had jollof rice, beef stew, plantin, puff puff, the food was absolutely delicious. It was my first time at the shop. What absolutely stood out to me was how clean the shop was. The shop was clean and it was mixed with beautiful food on display. The presentation of the food made it appetizing. I could have bought so much more from the shop. The customer service was absolutely spot on. I was new to the food, both the staff members was very patient and explained to me the different cuisines. I truly appreciated that. I will definitely be coming back to give more business. Keep up the excellent work.

Mercy, Patricia and Lisa are fantastic with customer service. The food is consistently delicious and the restaurant is always spotlessly clean. Vegan and vegetarian options are 👌🏾 The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional at all times. Loved in Northampton my whole life and this place has been needed. Give thanks it’s here.

Too expensive for microwaved food, I paid £10 for a lunch box of spaghetti, chicken and some beans. In London I get it for £5-7 and much fresher. Just being honest.

The sisters are cooking up a madness in here! Jollof rice, chicken & beef stew and all the other goodness. Super affordable and tasty 🔥

This was an amazing experience for very affordable food. It is delicious and nutritious because it is made of real ingredients. Thank you all for your hard work. We love that you do for our community. Waakye Joint offers a menu filled with traditional Ghanaian delights, prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. Each dish I tried was a burst of flavors, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Ghana. The Jolof rice with fish or beef was absolutely mouthwatering – perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was evident that the chefs at Waakye Joint take immense pride in their craft, as every dish was a true masterpiece. The staff at Waakye Joint are usually incredibly friendly and attentive, so that one bad experience shall not outshine the others. Nonetheless, once the customer service improves, we could literally consider this place perfect.
