About The Black Oven

Caribbean Restaurant in Northampton

The Black Oven is tucked away in Northampton, but it's well worth seeking out. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; it felt warm and welcoming, not stuffy or pretentious. Looking through photos online, I noticed the space features warm lighting and simple but stylish decor – nothing overly fussy, which I appreciated.

Their menu boasts a good selection of classic Caribbean dishes. I spotted jerk chicken in one photo, the glistening meat looking intensely flavorful, and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well. They definitely seem to prioritize fresh ingredients; I'd recommend starting with their appetizers and maybe trying the oxtail stew if you're feeling adventurous.

What makes The Black Oven special is its authenticity. It's clear they're passionate about their food, and that shines through in both the taste and the service. It's perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a romantic night out – anywhere you want genuinely good Caribbean food in a comfortable setting.
