So I checked out Fabio's in Newcastle, this brand new Caribbean place. It's tucked away on a quieter street, so it has a really relaxed vibe. The interior is bright and airy, with lots of natural light, and the photos online don't really do it justice – it feels much more spacious in person. They've got some lovely artwork on the walls too, giving it a really welcoming feel.

Their menu is pretty straightforward but packs a punch. They've got all the classics, jerk chicken, curry goat, rice and peas – you know the deal. One photo shows a perfectly plated platter of jerk chicken with vibrant colours, it looked incredible. I'd definitely recommend trying their callaloo soup; it was rich and flavorful, a perfect starter.

What makes Fabio's stand out is the genuine warmth of the service. Everyone was so friendly and clearly passionate about the food. It's the kind of place that's perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a fun weekend get-together with friends. I think anyone who loves Caribbean food, or anyone looking for a relaxed and tasty meal in Newcastle, would really enjoy it.
