About The Moghul Rooms
Caribbean Restaurant in Milton Keynes
Stepping into The Moghul Rooms in Milton Keynes felt like a warm hug. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, with a pleasant buzz of conversation and the subtle scent of spices hanging in the air. The pictures online don't fully capture the cozy, inviting ambiance – it’s much more charming in person.
Their menu is packed with classic Indian dishes, but the photos really highlighted the Boss Lamb Curry and the Fisherman’s Curry. One photo shows a perfectly plated Saag Aloo, vibrant green and incredibly appealing. I'd also recommend trying the Tarka Dahl based on the rave reviews. Everything looked incredibly fresh and flavorful – and the portion sizes are seriously generous; you'll definitely have leftovers!
This place is perfect for a celebratory dinner with friends or a special occasion. The friendly service and delicious, authentic food create a genuinely enjoyable experience. What sets The Moghul Rooms apart is that it feels both upscale and approachable; a spot where you can enjoy a fantastic meal without feeling stiff or pretentious.

Great authentic Indian food with a welcoming staff and a great atmosphere. Pictures are of the Boss Lamb Curry, Fisherman Curry, Saag Aloo, and Tarka Dahl. My only complaint is that they don't cheap out, so expect to take home leftovers!
Had dinner here last night for the first time and can honestly say this is my new favourite Indian restaurant. You can tell the food was freshly prepared, the flavours were amazing, great portion sizes (I actually had to bring some home) Would highly recommend, amazing service, Thankyou
The food was incredible and the combination of that, the people, the music and the general vibe of the decorations made for a really nice atmosphere. The portion sizes are very large, so come with an empty stomach, this place won’t disappoint
Despite getting off to a haphazard start where food orders were being taken before drinks orders, the Moghul Rooms turned out to be a good choice. The venue is a very old large period building with crooked corridors and high ceilings. It was quite busy overall during this visit. Food was good quality and had an authentic taste. The Shish Kebab starter could have benefited from some additional sauce and be a little warmer, but overall was good. The Garlic Chicken Sizzler was super and recommended. Pints on draught are Cobra & Madri. Price we paid for two persons was £55.00 There are numerous Indian Restaurants in Towcester to choose from and the Moghul Rooms shouldn’t be overlooked. It’s situated on the main High Street.
The dishes had an interesting flavor, particularly the rice and curry, though I wouldn’t classify it as exceptional. The onion salad, however, was disappointing—£3 for a tiny shot glass portion felt quite stingy, especially when most local restaurants provide it generously at no extra charge. Overall, I found it to be quite expensive for what it offered. PS: I was surprised by the defensive response to my initial review. To clarify, I neither praised nor criticized the flavor, as it was simply “interesting”—neutral enough to merit a three-star rating. The mention of the expense was directed at the portion size, specifically the onion salad, not the overall quality of ingredients. It’s disappointing to receive such hostility for constructive feedback.
