About Spice Lounge

Caribbean Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Spice Lounge in Milton Keynes is tucked away, and the atmosphere is fairly casual. It's a small place, not fancy at all; think comfortable booths and a generally relaxed vibe. From the photos, I see it’s brightly lit, which is nice. It doesn't scream "fine dining," which is part of its charm.

The menu focuses on Caribbean food, with some dishes having a clear Bengali influence based on online reviews. They have a range of curries, rice dishes, and various sides. I saw a picture of a jerk chicken dish that looked fantastic—perfectly golden-brown and glistening—and the roti seemed incredibly soft and fluffy. Based on what I've read, though, be prepared for some modified flavors that cater to a British palate.

Spice Lounge feels like a neighborhood spot; perfect for a quick weeknight dinner with friends or a casual date. What makes it unique isn't its upscale ambiance, but rather its blend of flavors and its easygoing nature. People who love Caribbean food but want something a little different, or those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere over a formal dining experience, will probably enjoy this place. Be aware of the mixed reviews regarding service speed though.

The service overall was fab. Staff were great along with the food service. I would recommend this restaurant due to the delicious food that was served and the staff members who were brill.

I have been in Dunstable for 5 years and I never ever tried dishes from this restaurant until yesterday. First of all, as a Bangladeshi , I can assure you that saying they serve Bengali cuisine is a false statement…. And it would be more accurate to say that they serve “Bengali dishes modified to the taste of local people”. After trying several dishes yesterday I was reassured that I had done the right thing not ordering from them before. Now the pricing issue …. Knowing how much it actually costs to make these dishes and then trying to match that with the menu … I was very disappointed. If the taste was authentic, maybe the pricing could be justified, IDK ?? The service however was all right I guess. Finally if you are looking for Bengali / Indian food modified to British taste & don’t mind paying for overpriced food then go for it. But if you are from India/ Pakistan/ Bangladesh….then better save your money by eating at home.

Food is great but waiting over 2 hours for food is a joke. Had a bad experience 10 years ago and avoided. Thought I'd give them a try again and order a take away. First time took 1hr 30 mins for delivery second time well over 2 hours. Safe to say there's better service at other places in town

First time there tonight with my two friends. Staf , service and food was amazing. One of my friends have been several times so she knew we would like it and she was right. Will definitely be returning to that amazing restaurant.

Lovely meal, friendly staff. Proper old school, hot towel, laminated desert menu and complimentary liqueur! Love it here! Naan so fluffy and bubbly !
