I just got back from Yeah Man Caribbean in Manchester, and wow, it's a hidden gem! It's tucked away, not on a main drag, but has a really cheerful, casual atmosphere. The space is bright and airy, with colourful artwork that gives it a real Caribbean feel. Looking through the photos online, I noticed lots of natural light and comfy-looking seating – perfect for a relaxed meal.
The menu is packed with authentic Caribbean dishes, and everything looked so fresh. They have all the classics – jerk chicken, curries, and rice and peas – but also some interesting daily specials. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of fish with a vibrant mango salsa that really caught my eye. I’d definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken; it had a great smoky flavour.
What makes Yeah Man Caribbean stand out is its genuine warmth and friendliness. It felt like a proper neighbourhood spot, perfect for a casual weeknight dinner with friends or a fun weekend lunch. It's a great choice for anyone who loves Caribbean food and appreciates a welcoming atmosphere; I’d happily go back again soon.

Proper traditional fire Jerk chicken. The smile put on my face with the heat that come from the Jerk chicken was enlightening. You don’t get proper spicy Jerk chicken no more but this place does. Respect Jamie. 👊🏻 The curried goat was also beautifully flavoured and had a kick and the beef stew delightful. A hidden gem with no frills but bags of flavour. I can’t wait to return.
Walked in around lunchtime and got served in minutes, had a big portion of lovely rich and spicy curry goat, rice and pea, dumpling and a fried chicken thigh. All excellent homemade stuff. 13 quid. Can't go wrong.
The food was lovely, had enough left over to eat the next day, and still tasted great. Was a bit of a drive for us, but it was worth it. Will definitely be going there again. We didn't get the name of the chef/cook or the lady in the shop, big mistake on our part, but they were both friendly. Great selection of Jamaica food and very tasty. Five 🌟 🤩
Great food has the curry goat 🐐 with rice and peas an ill give it a 10/10 perfect rice nice soft meat and nicely spicy 😋
Hidden gem. Food was delicious and hot! Curry goat was a bit spicy for me but I'm a whimp and it was still gorgeous. Other half enjoyed it too! Empty plates and full bellies all round. Will definitely be going back!
