About Turtle Bay Manchester Northern Quarter
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
Turtle Bay in Manchester's Northern Quarter has a really cool, relaxed vibe. The space is bright and airy, with lots of natural light streaming in, and a fun, tropical-inspired decor. Looking through the photos, I noticed some really interesting artwork and vibrant colours that perfectly capture the Caribbean feel. It's definitely a place where you can unwind and enjoy yourself.
Their menu is packed with flavourful Caribbean dishes, from jerk chicken to curries and tasty sides like plantains. One photo shows a perfectly plated platter of jerk chicken – it looked amazing! They also have a good selection of cocktails, which I'll definitely be trying next time. I'd highly recommend checking out their daily specials; they seem to change often, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients.
This spot is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a fun night out. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, making it ideal for conversation. What sets it apart is the genuinely friendly service and that authentic Caribbean feel – it's a refreshing change from the typical Manchester restaurant scene. I think anyone who loves Caribbean food, great cocktails and a buzzing atmosphere would love Turtle Bay.

Always fantastic service at Turtle Bay. The use of a free £20 birthday gift by having their app is great and can be used on absolutely anything! Food is always piping hot, fresh and flavoursome. If you don't quite know what to try, I recommend the Mixed Sharer (a few pounds more than a main meal) to taste a bit of what's on offer.
I am no longer a turtle bay bottomless brunch virgin and already I am planning to go back. I’m not a massive fan of cocktails but my friend is so I took one for the team and tried as many cocktails as possible along with my pint. Our server Delfin was fabulous super attentive, and explained everything to me as it was my first time. The food was delicious! I had a chicken roti wrap with sweet potato fries and I could eat it all over again now, really tasty and hot.
My boyfriend and I chose Turtle Bay to celebrate my birthday dinner today, and it was the best decision we could have made! Though it was not busy as it was Monday, the food and the service was absolutely fantastic! Every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned. We started with some small plates to share, and each bite was a taste of the Caribbean — fresh, vibrant, and so satisfying. The mains were equally impressive, with generous portions and a great variety to choose from. It was clear that every dish was made with care and attention to detail. And let's talk about the drinks! The cocktails were incredible. We both enjoyed some of their cocktails, and they were so refreshing and perfectly mixed. The selection of drinks was huge, and the staff Lucy even recommended a few that turned out to be spot on for our tastes. The service was truly outstanding as well. Staff member we interacted with (Lucy & Ben) were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Overall, Turtle Bay exceeded all of our expectations. The combination of incredible food, unique and delicious drinks, and warm, attentive service made my birthday dinner one to remember. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun, flavorful, and memorable dining experience. Thank you, Turtle Bay, for making my birthday so special!
