About Sasa’s
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
Sasa's in Manchester is a real find! It's tucked away on a quieter street, so it has a really relaxed, neighborhood feel. The space is bright and airy with colorful artwork on the walls; looking through the photos online, I especially liked the way they used natural light. It felt more like stepping into someone's home than a typical restaurant.
The menu is Caribbean-inspired, with a focus on fresh ingredients. They have a good mix of familiar dishes like jerk chicken and rice and peas, alongside some more unusual options. I saw one photo showing a perfectly plated curried goat that looked amazing; I'd definitely recommend trying that, or maybe the fish rundown if you're feeling adventurous. The portions seemed generous from what I could tell in the pictures.
What makes Sasa's special is its warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's the kind of place that's perfect for a casual weeknight dinner with friends or a relaxed family meal. It's new, so it's got that exciting buzz about it, but it also feels genuinely comfortable. I think anyone who loves Caribbean food or just appreciates a friendly, unpretentious restaurant would enjoy it.

Tried for the first time yesterday. Me and my friend shared a feast and I was impressed at how tasty every item was, as well as fresh and good quality! The jerk chicken, hot pepper prawns, fried chicken and oxtail were so nice and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and one of the gents on the hig smoky bbq at the front, even came in and asked how the food was, once we've finished. All round 5 star! 😋
This is literally the best Caribbean food in Manchester … take my word for it! The staff, the food, the prices are by far the best. Soup is not full of dumpling and you actually get chicken / yam .. fresh barrel jerk cool outside / Calaloo / ackee superb ! Bit far from where I am but worth the travel!
Tastiest goat curry i’ve had, would come back to manchester just for this food alone! Really good potions and flavour, fast service.
Exceptional jerk chicken. I cannot believe I haven't been before. I always went past and said it smelled amazing but never managed to get there as it isn't on route to anything - other than on voting day. The rice was also really really great not dry not stodgy it was fluffy and separate and I don't know how you managed to make it taste that good. Chicken cooked perfectly and yet still so tender and done on a grill mad skills. The jerk sauce was hot but consistent and didn't build to painful just stayed brilliantly zingy levels of spice. Not to sweet not too salty not too acidic. Just an Exceptional balance of flavours. Mad skills. Curry goat was really good. But the jerk chicken was award winning in my opinion. Will be back. Soon.
Undoubtedly, this is one of the finest quality servings of jerk chicken one can find outside of Portland. The seasoning is perfectly balanced—not too intense—permitting the smokiness of the meat and the subtle notes of pimento to really stand out. It is clear that this chef has truly perfected the art of the jerk pan, delivering an authentic and memorable experience. No doubt this has just become my regular
