About Rhythm & Spice Authentic Caribbean Cuisine
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
So I just got back from Rhythm & Spice Authentic Caribbean Cuisine in Manchester, and it's a real find! It's tucked away in a slightly unassuming spot, but the atmosphere inside is bright and welcoming, with colorful artwork and reggae music playing softly in the background. The space features lots of warm wood and comfy seating – perfect for a relaxed meal.
The menu is packed with all the Caribbean classics, from jerk chicken to curried goat. They also have some really interesting sides, like fried plantains and callaloo. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of their oxtail stew, and honestly, it had my mouth watering just looking at it! I'd definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken; it was perfectly spiced and juicy.
What makes Rhythm & Spice stand out is its genuine feel. It's clear a lot of love and care went into the food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's the kind of place that's great for a casual weeknight dinner with friends, a family gathering, or even a romantic date. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food in Manchester, this is the place to go.

Ordered a few different meals.. Couple of fried chicken meals, oxtail meal, curried goat with some jerk wings Jerk wings was nice n tasty, curried goat meat was soft and tender and very flavoursome... The oxtail and fried chicken was lacking tastewise in the brothers opinions. Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different but this is just my honest opinion...
Only giving three stars because the chips and Mac and cheese were good and so were the gravies but the rice was completely undercooked and rock solid and the dumpling didn’t seem fresh either. Would have rather had no rice and a refund. Makes no sense why you’d serve that.
We had Rhythm and Spice cater for a family event of 20 people. We ordered rice and peas, curry chicken, curry sea bass, fried chicken and plantain 2 ways as well as coleslaw. Everything was absolutely delicious and all the guests loved it. There was more than enough food provided for the amount of people and Orville and Lecia personally delivered it for us and were a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely recommend
First time ordering but i can't say im that impressed. Portions were small where only half of the plastic tub was filled with Ackee & Salfish & the chicken wings were all tiny with hardly any meat on them, quite dry. The Rice & Peas & salad were ok but nothing special. They forgot to add the two patties so i had to request a refund via Uber for them. The smoothie also tasted a bit sour & wasn't sweet enough. Poor value for money overall. 1x Lamb Pattie £3 1x Chicken Pattie £3 1x Ackee & Salfish (incls Rice & Peas) £12 6x Jerk Wings £6 1x Jerk Gravy £1.50 1x Salad £2.50 1x Coleslaw £1.50 1x Smoothie £3 Total £31.23 Fees & Delivery £37.78
