About Pull Up Bar Cafe

Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester

Stepping into Pull Up Bar Cafe in Manchester felt like a shift to a vibrant, island-inspired atmosphere. The music was definitely lively – think feel-good reggae vibes – so it’s not the place for hushed conversation. The reviews mentioned a cosy, clean space, and looking at the photos, that's definitely true; it looks bright and inviting, with a friendly, informal feel.

Their menu boasts Caribbean classics. One photo shows a perfectly plated jerk chicken dish that looked mouthwatering. They also have cocktails, and I heard rave reviews about their caipirinhas. My cousin, who’s Brazilian, said theirs were even better than she could find back home! Based on what I saw and heard, I’d recommend trying the jerk chicken and definitely grabbing a cocktail.

This place is perfect for a fun night out with friends, especially if you're looking for something a bit different than typical Manchester fare. It's a great spot for a celebratory dinner or just a casual get-together. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious food (according to many!), coupled with the lively music, make it stand out from the crowd. If you want a relaxed chat over dinner, maybe not this one; but for a lively Caribbean experience in Manchester, Pull Up Bar Cafe is worth checking out.

Cosy place with clean settings and vibrant music. The music is quite loud, so if you prefer to have a chat over dinner, this place isn’t for you. The food was a big disappointment for us as the prices & reviews didn’t match the flavour and quality. Very basic cooking and flavour. Frozen or canned vegetables used. Coriander was nowhere to be seen yet mentioned on the menu.

I had such an amazing time in Manchester! Despite all the flight delays, I still managed to enjoy a few hours there. Since I missed out on trying jerk chicken and other UK dishes since I moved to France, my cousin recommended that I visit Pull Up. Even though I arrived pretty late, the staff, especially Auntie Sharon, was so welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, and believe it or not, their caipirinha was even better than the ones back in Brazil! I'm looking forward to the next visit!

Having gone to Ramona’s prior and finding it not very nice, we ended up here and it was night and day. Nice atmosphere, good service, and very nice food and cocktails. Will be recommending to people.

What a find! We spotted the busy restaurant from across the road and were drawn in. We were welcomed quite literally with open arms and a giant hug from the lady in charge. Between us we ate the goat, beef and hake dishes with a selection of sides and all were outstanding. Washed down with delicious cocktails and a refreshing beer. Highly recommended.

Excellent food & atmosphere 💯 owner really friendly , definitely will be back
