About Nothing To Something Caribbean Takeaway
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
Nothing To Something Caribbean Takeaway in Manchester is a real find. It's a no-frills takeaway spot, but that's part of its charm. The vibe is super casual; you order at the counter and can either grab your food to go or find a spot on the small seating area outside to enjoy the aromas wafting from the outdoor barbecue. The photos online show the vibrant street scene and the BBQ where the magic happens – simple, but full of character.
Their menu is all about classic Caribbean favorites, and they clearly do it well. I saw jerk chicken (cooked right there on those oil drum BBQs!), rice and peas, sticky wings, and fried chicken. One photo shows a perfectly plated jerk chicken dish alongside fluffy festival. Reviews rave about the home-made scotch bonnet pepper sauce – which, given the enthusiasm, is definitely something to try if you like a bit of heat.
This place is perfect for a quick, delicious, and affordable Caribbean meal. It's ideal for lunch breaks, a casual dinner, or grabbing something tasty on the go. What makes it special isn't fancy décor or a huge menu, but the fantastic food cooked with obvious love and passion, using simple, fresh ingredients. The enthusiastic reviews speak for themselves – if you're craving authentic Caribbean flavors in Manchester, this is the spot to head to.

Fresh jerk chicken off the barbecue with festival 10/10 next best thing to Kingston JA..
WOW, what I find, after passing on my way home from work I had to try their food out and it's simply amazing. The jerk chicken is cooked outside the shop front on oil drum bbqs, cooked to perfection, their rice n peas are so light n fluffy and the prices are excellent. After coming here for 4 days in a row I tried their home made scotch bonnet pepper sauce,,,,, WOW it gives a great kick, also I tried the sticky wings which are just amazing, also the fried chicken is very nice aswell. 10/10 can not fault anything
Great place good food always go there when I'm in Manchester 🫡🫡
Such a friendly vibe every time I come in. Portions are great and the chicken just falls off the bone 🍖. Best coleslaw I’ve ever eaten, idk what they’re putting in it
Simply brilliant, authentic & delicious cuisine. It was a Sunday, the day after the night before so the last thing I wanted to do was spend hours in the kitchen cooking. However, I didn't fancy fast food either (chicken & chips, kebab, pizza, Chinese, Indian, chippy etc), I fancied some proper home cooked food. For whatever reason, most Jamaican food outlets don't open on a Sunday, but I drove around just to see if any were open & happened across this establishment owned & run by a Jamaican called Sasa. Whilst waiting to be served I could see half the district had the same idea as me, as people were ordering multiple homemade large dinners instead of cooking for themselves. This was a good sign. I had a large curried goat, rice & peas with steamed veg, a side salad & a couple of saltfish fritters. Being a keen cook myself, I can honestly say I couldn't have done better. The meal was 10/10, & believe me when I say, it takes a lot to impress me! This outlet comes highly recommended. The only downside is parking outside the shop is a lottery, so you may have to park on a side street & do the short walk.
Delicious jerk chicken cooked and smoked in a drum!! Really friendly owner. Festival banged too
