About Nothing To Something Caribbean Takeaway
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
Nothing To Something Caribbean Takeaway in Manchester is a cute little spot; it's not fancy, but it has a really friendly, casual vibe. The place feels bright and clean, and the photos online show simple, well-lit tables perfect for a quick lunch or takeout. It's clearly a smaller operation, which gives it a really intimate and personal feel.
Their menu looks fantastic – lots of jerk chicken and goat curry, which is what I was hoping to find. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of rice and peas alongside fried plantains – it looked delicious! They also have a few vegetarian options, which is a plus, and the prices seemed very reasonable for the portions shown. I’d definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken based on what I saw in the pictures.
This place is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner, maybe grabbing takeaway on your way home from work. It’s not a place for a big celebration, but it’s ideal for someone who wants authentic Caribbean food without the fuss or high prices. What makes it special is its simplicity and the focus on good, honest food.

Delicious jerk chicken cooked and smoked in a drum!! Really friendly owner. Festival banged too
Great place good food always go there when I'm in Manchester 🫡🫡
Simply brilliant, authentic & delicious cuisine. It was a Sunday, the day after the night before so the last thing I wanted to do was spend hours in the kitchen cooking. However, I didn't fancy fast food either (chicken & chips, kebab, pizza, Chinese, Indian, chippy etc), I fancied some proper home cooked food. For whatever reason, most Jamaican food outlets don't open on a Sunday, but I drove around just to see if any were open & happened across this establishment owned & run by a Jamaican called Sasa. Whilst waiting to be served I could see half the district had the same idea as me, as people were ordering multiple homemade large dinners instead of cooking for themselves. This was a good sign. I had a large curried goat, rice & peas with steamed veg, a side salad & a couple of saltfish fritters. Being a keen cook myself, I can honestly say I couldn't have done better. The meal was 10/10, & believe me when I say, it takes a lot to impress me! This outlet comes highly recommended. The only downside is parking outside the shop is a lottery, so you may have to park on a side street & do the short walk.
Such a friendly vibe every time I come in. Portions are great and the chicken just falls off the bone 🍖. Best coleslaw I’ve ever eaten, idk what they’re putting in it
