About Jj's Caribbean Kitchen
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
JJ's Caribbean Kitchen in Manchester is a cozy spot, tucked away but easy enough to find. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; it feels like a neighborhood gem. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the warm lighting and simple, inviting décor – definitely a place where you can just chill and enjoy good food.
Their menu offers a good range of Caribbean classics. I saw jerk chicken, curries, and plenty of sides like rice and peas. One photo shows a perfectly plated platter of fried plantains – they looked incredible. I'd recommend trying their jerk chicken; it's a safe bet, but I'm also curious about their more adventurous offerings next time.
What makes JJ's special is its genuine warmth and homey feel. It's perfect for a casual weeknight dinner with friends, a family meal, or even a quick lunch. It's clearly a place run by people who are passionate about food and sharing their culture, which makes all the difference.

Absolutely delicious 👌🏼 very hard to find vegetarian options that don’t need to be pre ordered a day in advance. Customer service was amazing and the food all made fresh to order extremely tasty dumpling was phenomenal. The Mac n Cheese was to die for. Fairly priced and worth every penny.
I was lucky enough to try a selection of JJ’s food for free yesterday because of an event they were hosting. The food was absolutely amazing! One of the best Caribbean restaurants I’ve been to! I will definitely be ordering from them
We ordered from JJ’s this evening. My son and partner had eaten there before and loved it. I’m vegetarian but they both rate the jerk chicken and rice and peas. I had the steamed vegetables and macaroni cheese and I’m not sure what the special ingredient in either is but they were both the most delicious versions of things I make/eat quite regularly. I could happily eat both every day (I’d best not). To add, there was no delivery driver available so our food was packed off in a taxi which is above and beyond. Absolutely lovely. Highly recommend
I had a takeaway from JJs today, of the oxtail and lamb chops and an array of sides. The food smelled incredible and tasted just as good. I have been to many Caribbean takeaways in south Manchester and this is my new favourites. To add the price is very good for the quality and amount of food. Thank you for the friendly welcome too, we will be back soon.
The food had me smiling ear to ear covered in sauce. I recommend to anyone and everyone. Jerk chicken was 10/10 Chips were 10/10 Rice was 10/10 Sauce was 10/10. Amazing service, the shop is decorated to perfection, goin again today
