I just got back from checking out D&X Caribbean Takeaway LTD in Manchester, and it's a pretty cool spot. It's a takeaway, so don't expect a fancy sit-down restaurant, but it has a bright, cheerful atmosphere. The photos online showed clean, simple decor—nothing too fussy, just a place that clearly focuses on the food. It feels very casual and friendly.
Their menu looks fantastic—lots of classic Caribbean dishes. I saw jerk chicken, curried goat, and a bunch of different sides like rice and peas, plantains, and callaloo. One photo showed a perfectly plated jerk chicken with vibrant colours – the chicken looked incredibly juicy. I'd definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken; it looked amazing from the picture, and jerk is a hard thing to mess up in my opinion!
D&X is perfect for a quick and tasty Caribbean meal. It’s great for grabbing lunch on the go or getting dinner for a casual night in. The place is new, so getting the word out is important – but if the food is as good as it looks, this place could become a neighborhood favorite in no time. It's definitely a place I'll be going back to soon.

Probably the best Curry Goat I've had. Perfect flavour and melt in your mouth meat. Excellent value for money. I actually wanted jerk chicken but as it was sold out I opted for my 2nd fave and BOY I was NOT disappointed! Takeaway has a few seats available could do with some music playing just to set the Jamaican vybe. Will 💯 be back again and again and again.
Ordered the curry goat with rice and peas and mixed veg and some plantain. Wow probably THE best curry goat I've had. I tried these guys randomly at Bolton Food Hall and it was the best decision I made that day. Deffo reccomend!
Tried D&X for the first time this week for lunch. Brought 1 piece of chicken and festivals twice. I was really pleased with the chicken and festivals both packed with flavour, freshly cooked and because I was so pleased with the service and food quality I wanted to take the time out to give you a review. Look forward to trying more of your dishes.
Very tasty curry goat, dumplin and coleslaw, meat was so tender it just fell off the bone. Thanks to the lady who served me for wrapping it well so the gravy wouldn’t leak whilst travelling. Have recommended to the rest of my family who love Caribbean food.
Omg I'm sorrrrrryyyyy my usual hot spots but this place right here is doing beyond than bits everything in here is astonishing my new space for 2025 .... I'm so sorry I've not been here sooner...thanks to my Uncle Therold I knew of you guys...
