About Caribbean Vibez Ltd
Caribbean Restaurant in Manchester
Caribbean Vibez LTD in Manchester is a hidden gem! It's tucked away in a smaller building, so you might miss it if you're not looking for it, but that adds to its charm. Inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming – think bright colours, island music playing softly, and a really friendly buzz. Looking through the photos online, I noticed a lot of natural light streaming in, making the whole place feel cheerful and airy.
The menu is packed with Caribbean classics, but with a nice modern twist. They have all the jerk chicken and curry goat you could want, plus some interesting seafood dishes I hadn't seen elsewhere. One photo shows a perfectly plated dish of escovitch fish, and it looked amazing. I'd definitely recommend checking out their specials board, too – they often have unique dishes based on seasonal ingredients.
What makes Caribbean Vibez special is its authenticity and friendly service. It’s clearly run by people passionate about sharing their food and culture. It's perfect for a casual weeknight dinner with friends, a fun date night, or a relaxed family meal. Compared to other Caribbean places I've been to in Manchester, this one feels more intimate and less like a tourist trap – a truly authentic experience.

‼️WARNING GET READY FOR SOME REAAAAALLLLL FLAVOURS‼️ Where can I even begin? The moment I walked into the restaurant, I felt very welcomed, and the aroma was incredible! Is great. Our meal consisted of 1: Oxtail Rice & Peas with handmade coleslaw (beyond excellent tastes!! The meat falling of the boneeee!! The sauce kn the rice, honestly I wasn't prepared for such INSANE flavours) 2: Mac and Cheese (How can such a simple dish taste so good??? Crispy cheese on the borders and melty cheese right underneath, wow!!!) 3: Fried BBQ Chicken (crunchy and tender with spices that will slap your taste buds) 4: Chicken Split (a dumpling filled with chicken and jerk sauce???? I'm honestly running out of words because I can't describe how perfectly that fits together. PERFECTION) 5: Homemade lemon cake and custard; I have no words to describe the unique flavours of each dish. Keep it up and stay blessed thank you again. PREPARE FOR A FOOD COMA.😂 Bring your pillow trust me you'll need it🔥
Tried this local takeaway today and was blown away by the food! I got it to go and it was packaged well, with recyclable packaging (which I love), food portions were great. I got the jerk chicken meal and I loved every part of it, bursting with flavours - a nice homely meal with a kick. Don’t turn your back on the sides either! The sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese really added to the experience. If I had to be picky I would say that I’d like the mac and cheese to be more saucy, but that’s down to my personal preference. I still thoroughly enjoyed and finished it with a smile. The desert is also worth the price, the school cake was delicious and nostalgic. All this food for only £20.10! The vibes of the place were phenomenal, from the decor to the music and the smiling people behind the counter. If you want to try something new, ditch the boring pizzas and burgers and come to this place!
Went in for the too good to go I'd say the offer £5 was probably just what you'd get for £5 anyway on the main menu so for TGTG it wasn't great value (the Dumplings and pattee were paid extras) However the food itself was gorgeous. I had jerk chicken and rice and peas with an extremely professional and friendly service provided with food cooked to order Isn't a carribean elsewhere locally so it's unique Good fresh food a.friendly service and well priced- I recommend going also chips are cheaper here than anywhere else on portway :)
We stumbled upon this place by chance, as it’s not on our usual route, but we couldn’t be happier that we did! The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the curried goat with rice and peas and fried dumplings, while my partner had the jerk chicken with the same sides. The curried goat was cooked to perfection—fall-off-the-bone tender, packed with flavor, and perfectly spiced. In fact, it was so good that I only got to eat half before the kids abandoned their nuggets and chips to claim my meal for themselves! My partner was equally thrilled with her jerk chicken, which had just the right level of heat to make it unforgettable. On top of the amazing food, the service was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The music added such a great vibe to the experience too; I’m still thinking about one of the songs that played. Could you let me know who the new music was by? I’d love to add it to my playlist. This little detour has definitely convinced us to change our route in the future. We’re already planning to come back soon to try the patties and cakes. Highly recommend!
Proper gutted with my order. My chicken split was very dry, no jerk gravy on there and the chicken tasted old and reheated. The curry goat was also misisng flavour and the dumpling was very dry!!! I can see that the place has good reviews so im putting this down to a bad day. Will give it another go and hopefully it will live up to the positive reviews that ive seen. The portion is amazing and very generous.
