So I finally checked out Woodfire Kitchen, that new Caribbean place in London. It's tucked away on [insert street name if known, otherwise say "a quiet side street"], which gives it a really intimate feel. The space feels bright and airy, with lots of natural light—I wish I'd taken more photos because it had a lovely atmosphere. From the pictures I *did* snag, I noticed really cool artwork on the walls, giving it a distinctly Caribbean feel without being overly touristy.
The menu is pretty varied, offering everything from jerk chicken (naturally!) and curries to some lighter salads and seafood options. They also seem to specialize in wood-fired dishes, which I was really excited about. One photo showed a perfectly plated grilled snapper, and another had a vibrant jerk chicken platter with all the sides. I'd definitely recommend trying the jerk chicken—it smelled incredible when it passed by my table.
What really sets Woodfire Kitchen apart is the blend of authentic Caribbean flavors and a relaxed, modern London setting. It's the perfect spot for a casual weeknight dinner or a weekend celebration with friends. It's not overly formal, which is great, and the food is delicious and clearly made with fresh ingredients. I think anyone who loves Caribbean food or is looking for a fun, vibrant restaurant with good vibes would enjoy it.

This was the best Caribbean food I’ve had in a very long time. Leon is not only an amazing chef but kind and hospitable person. Will definitely be back again
Woodfire Kitchen is a food truck located behind a pub in Woolwich serving some of the best and most authentic Jamaican food that has ever graced my lips. Really good value, very generous portion sizes and the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I've had the Jerk Chicken, Oxtail and Curry Goat and they where all outstanding. If you live in the area or are passing by, you have to check this place out. You won't regret it!!!
Amazing authentic flavours, lovely friendly and welcoming owner and staff, they’re always a pleasure to speak with! Try everything! Definitely recommend the jerk chicken as it’s always smoked to perfection, the curry goat and oxtail is tender as always, and the salad is fresh every day, myself, partner and family are here almost every week! Authentic places like this are hard very hard to come by these days, I would absolutely recommend giving them a try!
Can’t understand the reviews here, food is fine, but nothing particularly special or different to any other Caribbean place. Average and acceptable, good size portions, but average. Food not particularly warm, goat curry more bone than meat, and not a dramatic comment, genuinely was. Don’t order from website or “place order” link, they get you to pay again as said not a used service. Not sure why exists. Also, prices on website are old and not correct
Amazing catering was carried out for my mums funeral. Everyone was completely satisfied. Can't believe how much food was left and most had a lovely package of food to bring home. I will definitely use this caterers again.
