Walking into Turtle Bay Brixton felt like stepping onto a Caribbean island – bright colours, reggae music playing softly in the background, and a really happy buzz. The space features lots of natural wood and colourful artwork; it's definitely lively but not overwhelming. Looking through the photos online didn't quite capture the atmosphere, it felt much more vibrant in person.
Their menu is packed with Caribbean classics. I saw jerk chicken, curries, and plenty of veggie options. One photo shows a perfectly plated platter of jerk chicken with fluffy rice and peas – it looked incredible! I'd definitely recommend trying their cocktails too; they looked amazing and I overheard someone raving about the rum punch.
This place is perfect for a fun night out with friends, a casual date, or even a family meal. The atmosphere is relaxed but energetic, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced (considering its location). It’s the kind of spot that's a cut above your average Caribbean takeaway – it offers a proper dining experience with some great vibes.

I'm so glad I finally came to Turtle Bay, we chose the brixton one. The atmosphere, and cleanliness was brilliant and the music made our brunch even lovelier. Danni was excellent, we couldn't of asked for better attention and service in general. And she makes the best cocktails I've had in ages 🍸 🍹 😋 I didn't really like my burger but my friend loved hers-so we will be coming back to try something else very soon
Great food, great drinks and fairly decent service. Servers were very friendly and the food was really good. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The new Christmas set menu is great price too, and includes a cocktail on either 2 course or 3. Overall really good time here. My only complaint, when it did get busy, we were forgotten about a tad. We had to try and catch waiters as they went past to reorder drinks etc. But they were very busy, looked like they could’ve used another waiter or two on a busy evening. Overall very enjoyable time, would return.
So good and great staff ! The beef cheek stew with peas and rice was on point! If you love oxtails, make sure you try this dish. The cocktails hit the spot too… definitely making back to try something else on the menu since what I ate did not disappoint!!!
Wow! My mom and I went shopping in brixton and decided on an impromptu bottomless brunch since we walked in and were greeted by Gabby she was amazing a beautiful smile a friendly and welcoming attitude and gave such good recommendations when it come to drink and food choices! Turtle bay I hope you appreciate and love her! She is an amazing employee ! GABBY WE LOVE YOU
My friend and I had bottomless brunch at Turtle Bay in Brixton and both our waitresses couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly. They really made sure we had the best experience. Our waitress was Sebrina and there was also a lovely girl working behind the bar at the time we were there (1200-1400 on 23/08/24). We were never short of drinks as they kept topping our drinks up and were really quick with the service. They also kept checking in on us and making sure we had a good time. Thank you so much to both, we really enjoyed ourselves! And the food was amazing!
