About True Flavours Caribbean Cuisine
Caribbean Restaurant in London
I just got back from True Flavours Caribbean Cuisine in London, and it's a really cool spot. It's tucked away on a quiet side street, so it has a lovely, intimate feel. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly – think warm lighting, maybe some reggae playing softly in the background. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the place is nicely decorated with vibrant colours, giving it a genuine Caribbean vibe.
Their menu is pretty diverse, with all the classics you’d expect – jerk chicken, curries, rice and peas. They also have some interesting seafood dishes I wish I'd tried. One photo shows a perfectly plated escabeche, which looked amazing. I went with the oxtail stew, and it was rich and flavourful – definitely one of the best I've had. For dessert, the rum cake was a must.
What makes True Flavours stand out is its authenticity. The food really tastes like someone's lovingly prepared home cooking, but in a restaurant setting. It's perfect for a casual dinner with friends, a romantic date night, or even a celebratory meal. If you're craving authentic Caribbean food and want to avoid the tourist traps, this is the place to go.

Food is amazing, the picture tells you that every Friday night in Brixton is carribean food. Their beef steak (tender), rice & peas along with a choice of pasta or okra salad is the only cuisine I go for. The shop needs to get bigger. So far, the best in carribean food I had so far.
The pepper steak and oxtail with the rice and peas is amazing!!!. I always call and place my order so I’m not waiting to be served. Don’t forget the sweet chilli wings 10 out of 10. Food is always fresh to order and never microwaved. Pepper steak and oxtail always consistent!!!! Keep up the good work !!!
Not as good as it used to be. Ordered peppered steak and it was dry, it tasted a day or two old. Until they improve I’ll stick to New Tings down the road.
Nice Caribbean shop, the carrot juice was exceptionally nice however the macaroni was slightly bland.
The food is always good here don’t know what happened this time. I ordered jerk chicken and got stew chicken instead. Also paid for large food and got small one.
