About Trinidad Express
Caribbean Restaurant in London
Trinidad Express in London is tucked away on a quiet side street, but the bright, colourful murals on the outside immediately grab your attention. Inside, the atmosphere is buzzing but relaxed – a really nice mix of lively chatter and the pleasant clinking of cutlery. The space features warm lighting and plenty of natural wood, giving it a really inviting Caribbean feel.
The menu focuses on Trinidadian classics, with a good selection of curries, stews, and roti. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of Doubles – those fluffy fried bara bread filled with curried chickpeas – and I can already tell I need to try them next time! They also have a decent range of vegetarian and vegan options, which is great to see. I went for the jerk chicken, which was delicious; perfectly spiced but not too overwhelming.
What makes Trinidad Express special is its authenticity. It feels genuinely like a taste of Trinidad in London, and the friendly service adds to that. It's a great spot for a casual dinner with friends, a celebration with family, or even a solo meal if you're craving some amazing Caribbean comfort food. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to soon.
