About The Reggae Shack
Caribbean Restaurant in London
The Reggae Shack, tucked away on a side street in London, has a really cool, relaxed vibe. The walls are painted bright colours, and there's a great sound system playing some chilled reggae tunes. Looking through the photos online, I noticed they have some fun artwork and plenty of seating both inside and outside, which is great for warmer days. It felt really welcoming and instantly put me at ease.
Their menu is packed with classic Caribbean dishes, but with some interesting twists. They've got all the usual jerk chicken and rice and peas, but also some more unusual options like escovitch fish and callaloo soup. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of curried goat with fluffy rice, it looked amazing! I'd definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken – it was perfectly spiced and so tender.
What makes The Reggae Shack special is its authentic atmosphere. It's not trying too hard – it feels genuinely relaxed and welcoming, a place you could easily spend hours chatting with friends over delicious food and good music. It's perfect for a casual dinner with friends, a celebration, or just a tasty weeknight meal. If you're looking for genuine Caribbean food in a fun, unpretentious setting, give it a try.

Absolutely amazing food. the food is so fresh and tastes incredible. portions are huge!!! so much so from one meal deal i was able to save enough to have as lunch the next day to. i would also like to point out how lovely the lady is who runs the van, so welcoming and again so helpful when ordering for delivery too. highly recommend we’ve collected from the van and also had delivery won’t go anywhere else. jerk chicken is soo good ;)
We decided to get takeaway from reggae shack food cart in bexleyheath and we are glad we did. The lady serving was really nice and chatty, gave great advice on what to have and was very attentive. The food portion was very generous and worth the £15 price for the meal deal. We was left stuffed. We went with the curry goat, rice and peas, coleslaw. Jerk chicken rice and peas, and Mac and cheese. All homemade and authentic. The food was packaged well and she wrote on the lids heating instructions. As it was a food cart it had a limited menu but it is exactly what the area needs more of. Picture is of the two meals split to share you of course would get more chicken curry goat etc
I just wanted to say i’ve lived in London 2 years now and i’ve never had a Caribbean that comes anywhere near close to what I just experienced! Ticked every single box✅ now my go to caribbean spot! God bless.
Ordered from The reggae shack as a recommendation & glad I did as the food was really good. Loved the jerk chicken & the sauce they did. Highly recommend & the lady was really nice who I spoke to on the phone. Looking forward to returning.
The BEST Caribbean takeaway in London by far. Every time I order it exceeds my expectations. The curry goat and the mac and cheese is my favourite thing. Would love it if they added oxtail to the menu!
