About Savannah Caribbean Restaurant & Take Away

Caribbean Restaurant in London

Savannah Caribbean Restaurant & Take Away in London is a charming spot, tucked away but worth seeking out. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; think bright colours and the aroma of warming spices. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the space features simple, clean lines, making it feel inviting and comfortable.

Their menu offers a good selection of classic Caribbean dishes. I saw jerk chicken, curries, and plenty of fresh seafood options in photos. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of escovitch fish, looking bright and vibrant. I'd definitely recommend trying their roti; it looks absolutely delicious judging by the picture.

What makes Savannah special is its authenticity and warm hospitality. It feels like a neighbourhood gem, perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a weekend lunch with friends. It's a great alternative to the more formal Caribbean restaurants, offering a genuinely welcoming atmosphere and good home-style food at a reasonable price.

Amazing food, prices and service. Accidently bumped into this place whilst strolling my old growing up haunts with my daughter. I'm vegan and the chickpeas with cabbage and rice & peas was one of the best I've eaten. My hard to please daughter said her ackee with dumplin & fried plantain and beef pattie were the best she has eaten 😀 They smashed the homemade ginger beer clean out the park! Lovely restaurant. Great decor. Clean. Nice reggae background music to enjoy the food and ambience 🎶 Definitely coming again! Highly recommended.

What a great find! The food here is delicious, it's quite pricey if you're eating in but I would say you definelty get your money's worth. I did feel however it was a bit cheeky how they have menus inside with the takeout prices on them instead of the added on price. But other than that, the food was delicious and I definetly recommend.

Savannah’s…… let’s just say I wouldn’t be going back. I stopped eating here about a year ago when I ordered a festival but was served something which could have easily been mistaken for a brick rather than food. However I was convinced to give them another try as apparently they had stepped it up a gear. But this wasn’t the case. The service was okay, I waited a while before being acknowledged but the staff were friendly. However, the same cannot be said about the food. I ordered a chicken soup, Oxtail with Rice & Peas and a fried dumpling. Let’s start with the soup. It was so watery it felt like I was drinking a bowl of Evian with food in it. It had been watered down so much that it completely lacked flavour and I hardly got any chicken in it. Really disappointed. The Oxtail was a letdown too. It was very salty and consisted of mainly bones, which would have required the Evian soup to balance it out. The fried dumpling was the only thing we enjoyed. Overall very disappointing experience once again. We need to do better.

Have been into the restaurant to buy patties and it's a cute little spot, bit tight but cute, so decided to try the mains via delivery. Food was on time and piping hot, which is good. The jerk chicken tasted nice, even though the portion was a bit small, but the curry goat was dry (even though I put a note for some extra gravy), the curry itself was raw and tasted like it had just been poured over the top of the meat before serving and the pepper steak was completely inedible because it was packed full of salt or packet seasonings.

This restaurant is utter garbage. We went to this restaurant as a large group. Ordered starters to be given warmed up overnight food. You can not serve customers food that was cooked from hours ago then re-heated in an oven, which caused it to shrivel and dry. The presentation was awful, chicken on a plate with neither garnish or sauce. For a Caribbean restaurant, this is a disgrace. We refused to pay, only paying for our drinks and LEFT. We booked this weeks ago, then to be told the white rice is FINISHED. It takes 15 minutes to cook more. Just goes show to nothing is cooked from scratch. All prepared from morning and reheated. No thank you!! We knew something was wrong as we could smell nothing before the food arrived. Be careful of reheated food, very unhealthy in a restaurant.
