Ma Petite Jamaica, tucked away in London, has a really charming, intimate feel. The space features warm lighting and colourful artwork, giving it a lively but relaxed vibe; it felt really welcoming the moment I walked in. Looking through the photos online, I noticed they've done a great job of creating a space that feels both authentically Jamaican and comfortably stylish.
The menu is packed with classic Jamaican dishes, but with a clear focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. They have all the usual suspects – jerk chicken, curries, and rice and peas – but also some interesting specials that rotate. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of oxtail stew, which looked incredibly rich and tender. I’d definitely recommend trying their patties; they were seriously delicious.
What makes Ma Petite Jamaica stand out is its genuine atmosphere. It feels less like a generic Caribbean restaurant and more like a home-cooked meal in a friendly setting. This would be perfect for a romantic dinner, a casual get-together with friends, or even a solo meal if you're craving some comforting, flavourful food. It’s somewhere I’d happily return to again and again.

We wanted to try some authentic Caribbean food whilst in London for the weekend and Ma Petite Jamaica delivered. The food was delicious, the staff were all super helpful and friendly, the restaurant is cool and the drinks were half price for happy hour (5-7pm) We tried the pork ribs, jerk chicken and ox tail stew. Everything was great. Thanks for a great experience.
We were welcomed by Ebony, she was very friendly, she was the only waitress there and ran the restaurant seamlessly. Romeo was the bar tender, he mixed gorgeous cocktails. He helped Ebony on the restaurant floor in between mixing. I can't thank them both enough for making our night so enjoyable. The food was delicious, with lots of choice. I can't wait to go back and try something different.
Absolute delicious food! The oxtail was the best I've ever had! The ribs also were 10/10 the dumplings were also delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to visit again :)

The service is commendable, and while the food prices are reasonable given the location, you might find yourself paying a bit more for their delightful Guinness punch. The decor stands out with its vivid Caribbean colors and artistic renditions of Bob Marley’s "Redemption Song" lyrics, creating an immersive dining experience. If you’re in Camden and craving authentic Jamaican flavors, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to returning!
I've had mixed experiences dining here. The first time I got the most delicious crispy friend dumpling but sadly, it has been soft on the outside on subsequent visits. However, I've visited a few times now and appreciate the 10% off for deal at lunchtimes. The cocktails are lovely and I've enjoyed the her chicken and fried plantain.
