JB's Soul Food in London is tucked away on a quiet side street, but don't let that fool you; inside, the atmosphere is warm and buzzing. The space features brightly coloured walls and lots of natural light, creating a really welcoming feel. It’s small but perfectly formed, with a lively energy you feel as soon as you step inside.
The menu at JB's is all about classic Caribbean comfort food, with dishes like jerk chicken, curried goat, and callaloo soup. They also offer a number of sides, including plantains and rice and peas. One photo shows a perfectly plated jerk chicken with vibrant colours and delicious looking sauces. I'd definitely recommend trying their oxtail stew, it smelled amazing when it came out for another table!

Came to Peckham to buy some goat meat. There was Plenty of mutton, but no goat meat, Why ?. However I had looked up West Indian takeaways before I came, and had read the reviews for this place, they were high in their praise , so I decided to come here to buy dinner, Really pleased I did, I bought some fried fish , 2.50 a portion, I bought 3 , really moist , really tasty . I also ordered a large jerk chicken meal which was delicious and huge, enough for 2 meals. In fact I’m heating up the leftovers as I critique. Add to that, The woman who served me was lovely, kind and welcoming. Highly recommend 😋
Got takeaway Ox tail and Jerk chicken - first time trying both and were delicious and great serving sizes for the cost. Great value! The service was exceptional with the owner/chef smiling, laughing, and incredibly accomodating and attentive. A great experience. Highly highly recommend! (We even went again the next day and enjoyed it back to back)
JB’s soul food has been my go-to for a few years now - super local, fast service and the owner is accommodating and friendly. We ordered over the phone for a pick up. We ordered salt fish patties, large oxtail and jerk chicken meals with rice and peas, coleslaw and plantain. The flavours were great, super generous with the portions, meat was super tender and full of flavours. Cant complain. Highly recommend!!!!!!!
Lovely owner who has a wonderful spirit. Jerk chicken was decent if a little salty. The smokiness was great! Good value for money
Banging Jerk chicken. Will be back for more soon. Coleslaw would be better if it was made in house. Soup of the day lacked spice, was like a gravy - wouldn’t get it again.
