Jamaican Heat is tucked away on a side street in London, but it's easy to spot thanks to the vibrant colours and the aroma of jerk spices spilling out onto the pavement. The inside is small but feels cosy and lively; lots of warm wood and reggae playing softly in the background. Looking through the photos, I noticed a really nice patio area, perfect for warmer weather.

The menu is fairly concise, focusing on classic Jamaican dishes. They have all the usual suspects – jerk chicken, curried goat, rice and peas – but also some interesting specials. One photo shows a perfectly plated escovitch fish that looked incredible. I'd definitely recommend trying their patties; they were seriously good, with a flaky crust and flavorful filling.
