Heart & SoulCaribbean Restaurant in London
About Heart & Soul
Caribbean Restaurant in London
Heart & Soul is tucked away on a quiet side street in London, and stepping inside felt like discovering a hidden gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colourful artwork adorning the walls and a low hum of happy chatter filling the air. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the restaurant features intimate booths perfect for a romantic dinner and larger tables ideal for groups. It has a really relaxed, friendly vibe.
Their menu focuses on traditional Caribbean dishes with a modern twist. They offer a range of jerk options, from chicken to tofu, and I saw one photo showing a perfectly plated curried goat that looked unbelievably tender. There were also several tempting vegetarian choices, and plenty of fresh seafood dishes. I'd definitely recommend trying their rum punch – it was delicious!
What makes Heart & Soul special is its genuine warmth and commitment to authentic Caribbean flavours. It’s the kind of place perfect for a celebratory dinner, a casual catch-up with friends, or even a solo meal – the food is just that good. It feels different from other Caribbean restaurants I've been to; it’s less about touristy gimmicks and more about sharing honest, delicious food with a friendly atmosphere.

Friendly staff, great drinks and tasty food. Highly recommend. Affordable prices and vegan options. Highly recommend the authentic rum punch and the delicious vegetable fritters. I will definitely be back soon.
Don’t bother wasting your time in the freezing cold like my group did getting to this place because it will be closed. Booked a Christmas party table in advance only to get there and all the shutters were closed with no activity inside. Didn’t warn the main person in advance that this would be happening. Tried a few other restaurants in the area but they were fully booked so our evening was ruined and our stomachs hungry. I would never recommend this place to anyone because they are a big letdown. We were offered 15% off our next visit. Not only can they keep that insult but they can shove it exactly where the sun doesn’t shine. 😡
Lovely food, highly recommended haven’t had it in ages because I have not been in the area. Only thing I’m not happy with are the confusing opening hours, I would kindly recommend fixing that (speaking out of business experience). Would be much better if you stick to Thursday-Saturday 17:00 (or 18:00) - 23:00 (or 00:00) and Sunday as it is.
Great food and service. Cheryl, the owner, is very accommodating and welcoming always.
We came here for mother’s day and when I say they booked us in for 18:30 we arrived on time and my disabled mother had to stand up waiting to be seated over an hour. My mum was in agony and no one offered her a seat to sit down. Over crowded and very unorganised. They had made a table for us to sit by the door my brother had to keep getting up during eating to let people leave and enter the restaurant. Absolutely joke of a place I would not be going here again the manager should have at least not charged us full price for that atrocious service. I try to support black businesses but unfortunately this establishment let themselves down!
