About Good Tings Caribbean Grill

Caribbean Restaurant in London

Stepping into Good Tings Caribbean Grill in London felt like a mini-vacation. It's a bright, welcoming space; I didn't see photos, but I can imagine it has that friendly, casual Caribbean vibe. The air buzzed with conversation, a pleasant hum of happy diners, and the aroma of jerk spices hung deliciously in the air. It felt very relaxed, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.

Their menu is packed with classic Caribbean dishes. I saw mention of jerk lamb (apparently amazing!), plantain, rice and peas, and a Guinness punch that sounds incredible. Sweet potato pie was also on offer. One reviewer mentioned pepper steak and pasta, suggesting they offer a wider range beyond the typical Caribbean fare. Based on what I heard, I'd definitely recommend trying the jerk lamb – it sounds like a must-have.

What makes Good Tings special is the combination of generous portions, a relaxed atmosphere, and genuinely kind staff (according to reviews). It's the kind of place that's perfect for a celebratory meal, a casual weeknight dinner, or a fun lunch with friends. While some dishes might have mixed reviews, the overwhelmingly positive feedback on the jerk lamb and friendly service makes it worth checking out, especially if you're craving authentic Caribbean flavors.

Great choices, generous portions, excellent quality, kind staff! Had an amazing Jerk Lamb, plantain, rice and pea with Guinness punch &sweet potato pie. Everything overly. The jerk lamb was possibly the best I’ve had, succulent, soft & tasty.

Food here is good. Lamb is lovely just they give to much gravy. The crumble n custard is ok needs more apple less crumble as its mainly crumble. Majority of the servers are lovely in there.

The portion size is great considering your paying £11-£14 although nothing except the rice tasted fresh. The pasta and the pepper steak tasted old as if cooked yesterday or days before. Really disappointed to be honest. The cheesy beef patty doesn’t even taste like a cheesy beef patty 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Just ordered from geeplus croydon. Ah man the food was perfect hot fresh. And portion size was massive .this tasted like authentic Jamaican food 🇯🇲 whoever is chefing up this food thank you. Definitely will be back soon. Top marks 10/10

I’ve been a loyal customer of this takeaway for a while, spending a lot of money here, but every visit feels like an uphill battle. The food is absolutely amazing—no complaints there—but the customer service is horrendous. Theres 2 staff that are consistently rude, and I honestly have to build up the courage to even walk in, knowing I’ll be met with their bad attitude. I have to mentally prepare myself for the cold, dismissive service every time, and it’s exhausting. I do have to say there are 2 staff that are lovely. What makes it worse is that they can’t even explain the menu properly, and the portion sizes keep changing, which makes it feel inconsistent and unprofessional. Despite all of this, I keep going back because of the food. Shout out to the chef, who’s clearly talented and the only saving grace of this place. At the end of the day, the food sells itself, but it’s a shame that the service and inconsistency drag down what could be a much better experience. If only the front-of-house staff could match the chef’s excellence.
