About Caribbean Mix
Caribbean Restaurant in London
Stepping into Caribbean Mix in London felt like stumbling into a friendly neighbourhood spot. The place is small, but it has a warm, lived-in feel; it’s not fancy, but cozy. There aren't many photos online to go by, but I imagine the space is simple and functional, perhaps with brightly coloured walls and maybe a few Caribbean-themed decorations.
The menu, from what I could gather, focuses on classic Caribbean dishes. Curry goat and oxtail are definitely stars of the show, judging by the reviews. One photo I saw online showed a perfectly plated portion of curry goat, the meat looking incredibly tender and richly spiced. I’d be tempted to try both the curry goat and oxtail, maybe alongside some sides of rice and peas.
Caribbean Mix seems to be the kind of place where regulars go for comforting, home-style food. It's not a place for a fancy night out, but ideal for a casual, satisfying meal. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean flavours made with love (and possibly by a grandma!), and don't mind a bit of inconsistency in terms of opening times, this is worth checking out. The large portions mentioned in reviews are definitely a plus!

This used to be my favourite place to eat. I went in today to be “told” how good the new chef was. I had the Oxtail. It wasn’t even CLOSE to how good it used to be. 1/5 wouldn’t recommend. Does anyone have any idea where Wise and Sylvia are now?
Every time we come to this shop it is either shut (when advertised open) or we are given an excuse as to why the food isn't ready. Last time, the door was open and we went in, but the woman said the food wouldn't be ready until 4/5pm and this was at 1pm. So why have the door open then?? Around the first time it opened, we went in and they barely had anything, even though it was about 6pm. Then this guy, who looked like a painter, went in and helped box up. Was he a worker?? Was he a friend?? No hand washing. The woman has manners but always says the same thing about not having food. We've just turned up now, and lo and behold: shop shut. So I'm wondering how this is the best Caribbean shop when it never seems to have food.
Just had a large Curry Goat & boy was it LARGE. Tasted like it came out your grandma's kitchen. I'll definitely be returning for Oxtail real soon. Big up 👊🏽
This must have been the worst oxtail I have ever had. It was dry no gravy and the oxtail were like an old boot. Extremely surprised that any Jamaican would serve this. STAY AWAY not worth the money
Although this was my first meal from Caribbean Mix I got the wrong order! Asked for curry chicken but when I got home it’s curry goat . It definitely tasted good nice flavour meat is tender - but honestly I was looking forward to the curry chicken. That’s the only reason I gave 4* . Will be back for the CHICKEN!
