Caribbean Restaurant in London
Caribbean-Kitchen in London is tucked away on a quiet side street, giving it a really intimate and welcoming feel. The space is bright and airy, with colourful artwork adding a cheerful touch. Looking through the photos, I noticed lots of natural light streaming in, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for a casual meal.
The menu focuses on authentic Caribbean flavours, with dishes like jerk chicken, curried goat, and callaloo soup. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of fried plantains, looking so crispy and golden. They also have a great selection of sides, including rice and peas and festival. I'd definitely recommend trying their rum punch – it's a must-have!
What makes Caribbean-Kitchen special is the genuine warmth of the staff and the authentic taste of the food. It’s the kind of place you could go for a quick lunch, a romantic dinner, or a fun night out with friends. It feels more like a home-cooked meal than something you'd get at a chain restaurant, and that's what makes it stand out.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I recently purchased a bag from Too Good To Go, expecting to receive surplus food that was still good to eat. Unfortunately, this was my third attempt at this particular store, and I was deeply disappointed again. The items I received were burnt and of poor quality, which is not what I anticipated. I understand the mission behind reducing food waste, but the condition of the food was unacceptable. I won’t be returning to this store again, as it seems they are not meeting the standard expected from the Too Good To Go service.
The best yard food I’ve had in a very long time. Tasted like home cooking. I had the curry chicken and the gravy was sublime. Rice and peas was fluffy but not stodgy and the small portion was still a great size for lunch and all at a very reasonable price considering the current climate. I also had a beef patty, which was beautifully moist and flavoursome. I never do reviews but this definitely deserves it. Will be going back a lot .
Ordered takeaway and it was absolutely delicious. I got the jerk chicken with rice and peas and coleslaw - everything was lovely and gluten free too! They even sent me some plantain that was cooked in a separate fryer so it wasn’t cross contaminated with gluten.
So....outstanding. shame that another person has commented on burnt patties from too good to go (with too good to go, it is food that will go to waste so the shop would not sell those in normal circumstances, plus you get many other items with it.) However every time I go it is amazing. As they told me "the food is made with love". I've had curried goat, jerk chicken, mac and cheese, beans etc. Always very good. Local Hackney people, friendly and genuine. Nice to support local people with all the wealthy gentrification going on in that area.
Good vibes, kind staff and sweet food!! You won’t be disappointed. I enjoyed the jerk chicken, rice and peas, nice reach salad and a sweet dumpling too ! I will be back for sure 😎
