About Cafe Caribbean
Caribbean Restaurant in London
Cafe Caribbean is tucked away on a side street in London, but the vibrant colours spilling out from the doorway definitely catch your eye. Inside, the space is small but feels welcoming, with bright artwork on the walls and reggae music playing softly in the background. The whole place has a really cheerful, casual vibe; I could immediately picture myself hanging out there with friends.
Their menu is fairly concise, focusing on classic Caribbean dishes. They offer several jerk options – chicken, pork, and tofu – alongside rice and peas, plantains, and a selection of sides. One photo showed a perfectly plated jerk chicken with a gorgeous glaze, and another highlighted their vibrant looking callaloo soup. I'd definitely recommend trying their roti, which is supposed to be a house favourite.
What makes Cafe Caribbean special is its authenticity and warmth. It's the kind of place where you can get a delicious, reasonably priced meal in a relaxed atmosphere. It would be perfect for a casual lunch with friends or a quick bite after work. It’s not trying to be fancy, and that's what makes it so appealing. I think anyone who loves Caribbean food or appreciates good, honest cooking will really enjoy it.

Amazing and authentic Caribbean food! Highly recommend the oxtail or any of the patties! Easy to take away in plastic tubs. Huge portion size compared to some others in the food market, too.
We had lunch at the Old Spitalfields market outlet of Cafe Caribbean. I got the Jerk Chicken w/ Potato & veggies and my wife got the Mutton curry w/ rice & peas. The food was tasty and flavourful…very homely. Sorry my photos don’t do it justice. I also want to try their Beef Stew and Oxtail w/ butter beans…looked delicious…maybe next time!
I had a vegetable patty & unfortunately it wasn’t very nice. There could have been more filling as I took a bite & got mostly pastry. The pastry wasn’t flaky & the edges were rock hard! I warmed it up hoping it would soften but it didn’t
My favorite spot in Old Spitalfield Market. Delicious dishes I highly recommend to you all!
Loved this place! The atmosphere and food, the best I've tasted yet! The staff were welcoming and the prices were reasonable! I expected to pay more so it was a nice surprise. Would definitely visit again when down South. Wish they had a restaurant in Manchester!
