I just got back from WNKD in Leeds, and it's a really cool spot. It's tucked away a bit, which adds to its charm – feels very intimate and a little mysterious. The photos online don't quite capture the warm lighting and the way the space is decorated; it has a very relaxed, Caribbean-inspired feel with lots of natural wood and bright colours. It's definitely not a massive place, so I'd recommend booking ahead.

Their menu is pretty exciting, with lots of fresh, flavourful options. They have all the Caribbean classics done right – jerk chicken, curried goat – but also some more creative dishes I haven’t seen elsewhere. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of Escovitch fish, which looked incredible. I went for the roti, and it was amazing; the spices were perfectly balanced, and the roti itself was soft and fluffy. They also have a great selection of drinks.

WNKD is perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a special occasion. It's different from other Caribbean restaurants I’ve been to in Leeds, feeling more authentic and less focused on the typical tourist fare. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, the food is delicious and unique, and it’s a place you’d happily return to again and again. It's certainly a great addition to the Leeds food scene!
