Rum-shack-a-lack in Leeds is a really cool find! It's tucked away, not on a main street, so it has a nice, intimate feel. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, with a genuine Caribbean vibe – think bright colours and maybe some reggae playing softly in the background. Looking through the photos online, I noticed they’ve got some lovely tropical plants adding to the atmosphere.

Their menu is all about fresh, flavourful Caribbean food. They’ve got all the classics, jerk chicken, curries, and rice and peas, of course. But they also have some interesting specials that change regularly. One photo shows a perfectly plated dish of escovitch fish – it looked amazing. I'd recommend trying their cocktails too; they're clearly putting a lot of thought into them.

What makes Rum-shack-a-lack special is that it feels authentic without being stuffy. It’s perfect for a casual dinner with friends, a romantic date night, or even just a fun night out.
