About Freddies Food Club
Caribbean Restaurant in Glasgow
So I checked out this new Caribbean place in Glasgow called Freddie's Food Club – it's pretty small and tucked away, giving it a really intimate feel. The atmosphere was super relaxed, kind of like a lively neighbourhood spot. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the walls are brightly painted and they have some cool artwork – it definitely has a fun, vibrant vibe.
The menu is pretty straightforward but features all the Caribbean classics. They have jerk chicken, of course, and a really tempting-looking oxtail stew. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of curried goat, which looked incredibly rich and flavourful. I went for the jerk chicken and it was delicious – the spice was just right, not overpowering at all. I'd recommend trying the sides too, especially the plantains.
Freddie's Food Club is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a relaxed date night. It's not fancy but the food is genuinely great and the friendly service makes it a really enjoyable experience. What sets it apart is the authentic Caribbean flavours – you can tell the food is made with love and a clear understanding of the cuisine. I'd definitely go back!
