So I checked out this new Caribbean place in Cardiff called USA Chicken. It's a pretty small spot, tucked away, but has a really bright and cheerful feel inside. The photos online showed a clean, modern space with lots of natural light; it felt more like a casual eatery than a fancy restaurant. Definitely has that welcoming, neighbourhood joint vibe.

Their menu is fairly straightforward – lots of chicken dishes, obviously, prepared in various Caribbean styles. They had jerk chicken, BBQ chicken, and some interesting curries. One photo showed a perfectly plated jerk chicken with vibrant red peppers, which looked amazing. I'd recommend trying the jerk chicken – it smelled incredible while I was there.

What makes USA Chicken special is its simplicity and focus on flavour. It's not trying to be anything it's not; it's a great place for a quick, tasty, and affordable Caribbean meal. This would be perfect for a casual lunch with friends or a quick dinner before catching a show – the kind of place you go to for genuinely delicious food without the fuss.
