About Meat And Greek
Caribbean Restaurant in Cardiff
So I checked out this new place in Cardiff called Meat And Greek. It's in a pretty unassuming spot, but inside it has a really bright and airy feel. The decor is simple, lots of wood and natural light, making it feel really welcoming. I didn't see any photos online before I went, but the overall vibe was very relaxed and casual.
The menu is, as the name suggests, a mix of grilled meats and Greek dishes. They have all the classics like souvlaki and gyros, but also some interesting takes on things. I saw a photo online of their lamb chops—they looked incredible, perfectly seared. They also have a nice selection of salads and sides, and the portions looked generous from what I saw. I'd definitely recommend trying their moussaka if you like eggplant, it's a house favorite according to the staff.
What makes Meat And Greek stand out is that friendly, laid-back atmosphere. It's the kind of place you could easily pop in for a quick lunch or linger over dinner with friends. It's not fussy or pretentious at all—just good food, good vibes, and fair prices. I think it would be perfect for a casual date night, a post-work meal with colleagues, or a family dinner.
