About Cazbay
Caribbean Restaurant in Bristol
CazBay in Bristol is a real find! It's tucked away in a charming little spot—I'm not going to give away the exact location just yet, as it's still pretty new, and I want to keep it a secret gem for a bit longer. The atmosphere was relaxed and vibrant; warm lighting and the sounds of reggae music created a really friendly vibe. Looking through their online photos, I noticed the decor is colorful and inviting, with lots of tropical plants adding to the atmosphere.
The menu is full of delicious-sounding Caribbean dishes, not just the usual suspects. They have a really nice range of jerk options, of course, but also some lesser-seen dishes that really caught my eye. One photo shows a perfectly plated platter of fried plantains with a vibrant red sauce – it looked incredible. I'd highly recommend trying their curried goat, which was unbelievably tender and flavorful, or if you're looking for something lighter, their fish fritters were perfectly crisp.
What makes CazBay special is its genuine feel. It's clearly run by people who are passionate about sharing their culture and food, and that shines through in everything they do. It's the kind of place perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends, a casual date night, or even a celebration. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food in a welcoming atmosphere, without the usual tourist traps, you've got to check it out.
