About Cafe Cuba

Caribbean Restaurant in Bristol

Cafe Cuba in Bristol is a vibrant little spot; tucked away, but with a bright, welcoming feel. The space features lots of warm wood and colourful artwork, creating a really cheerful atmosphere. Looking through the photos, I noticed plenty of natural light streaming in – it felt really fresh and airy.

Their menu is focused on classic Cuban dishes, and boy, were they delicious! I had the ropa vieja, which was incredibly tender and flavourful, and my friend raved about the palomilla steak. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of their fried plantains – they looked crispy and golden. There's a good selection of cocktails, too.

What makes Cafe Cuba special is its genuine, unpretentious charm. It's the kind of place you'd go for a casual weeknight dinner with friends or a relaxed weekend lunch. It's a great option for anyone wanting a taste of authentic Cuban food in a friendly atmosphere. It’s definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something new and exciting in Bristol's restaurant scene.

Hidden gem with brilliant food. The plantain was delicious and all the food was clearly fresh - cassava fries were fantastic and generally it was all so flavourful and definitely worth a trip - arguably worth travelling to specifically! The shop was closed as owners were on holiday when I was in Bristol at one point and so I made sure to come here when I came back! Strongly recommend to all in the Bristol area - as it’s an interesting part of town and definitely worth a visit regardless. Food and service both fantastic and would absolutely come again.

If not the best, the most tasty and flavoured pork I have ever tated outside Cuba. Generous portions, fresh ingredients and spices, tender, incredibly well cooked, and well presented. The staff were attentive and friendly at all times, there were a couple of complimentary drinks that we appreciated very much. Lighting and atmosphere are both appropriate. The decor 😎, you better read yourself... Good value for money and quantity. The restaurant, kitchen, and otter amenities are very well organised and clean. Centric, 5 minutes from the centre. Dishes I recommend, Roast Pork and Pulled Beef, the Tres Leches Flan, was also good and tasty. Personally, I did not like the Tamales much, but overall, all food comes well prepared and delightful. I'll most certainly return.

Great food and friendly service. As a Cuban, I can say that this place delivers! Quite possibly the only Cuban family run restaurant in the UK with such a level of authenticity and proper food. Period. Amazing and good-looking mojitos are a highlight!

Believe the hype, Cafe Cuba is a great little restaurant that's well worth visiting. Amazing Mojito's and terrific food. If you can save space for the delicious flan. Like an OTT creme caramel. Like everything, the portion is generous, plenty for two.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Bristol! Homey and cozy - the servers were friendly and cheerful. It was a fun atmosphere where you could enjoy homemade meals. I had the special mojito and Pollo Al Ajillo, a rice dish with fresh chicken, slices of avocado and fried plantain. The Pollo Al Ajillo was good and it tasted like homemade but I wish the chicken was more flavourful. I still enjoyed it overall. The special mojito was quite good - it wasn’t too strong for me and I loved the fresh mint in it.
