About Wi Jammin

Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham

Wi Jammin in Birmingham is a bright, casual spot; it's not fancy, but has a friendly, bustling atmosphere. The space feels relaxed, perfect for a quick lunch or a more casual dinner. I didn't see any photos, but I imagine it's got that sunny Caribbean vibe.

Their menu focuses on classic Caribbean dishes. They have fried chicken (highly recommended!), oxtail, and curry chicken dumplings, along with rice and peas, and callaloo. One reviewer mentioned saltfish and ackee dumplings, so those are likely available too. I wish I'd tried the fried chicken based on the rave reviews! It sounds amazing.

Wi Jammin is ideal for a straightforward, satisfying Caribbean meal without any fuss. It's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual lunch with friends. The mixed reviews highlight some inconsistencies – the oxtail apparently needs some work – but the strong praise for the fried chicken and the generally positive feedback on service suggest it's worth a visit, particularly if you’re craving some good Jamaican fried chicken.

The food is very good. You can taste all the flavours and all the seasonings. The service is very professional. I tried with the drinks for the first time and it’s on point. I would recommend them to anyone and they get five star all the way.

Honestly really annoyed with this place the food usually bangs but today I asked for curry chicken dumpling woman gives me salt fish and akee dumpling instead bought porridge lumpy as hell and not sweet at all really disappointed and they had no cutlery if they told me this before I wouldn't have ordered

Postives first - the fried chicken was great. Marinated, seasoned, cooked well. 10/10. Unfortunately no jerk available. No patties available either. Not so good.. the oxtail. Really, really lacking in flavour. Tasted of nothing. Rice and greens were good though. The greens had more flavour than the gravy! Would return, but only for the chicken next time.

AMAZING food and big portions. Food was still sizzling even though it's 3 miles away. Goat and oxtail super tasty and crispy fresh dumplings. Polite lady driver too. Best I had in a long time and will definitely be back.

I would of given full stars because the food is lovely but the pattie let them down that authentic co pattie brand is awful it has 0 taste and is not an original patty like a tastee or even a grandad pattie the authentic co is cheap brand an is for english people not for people who know how pattie fi taste but apart from that there OWN cooked food is lovely!
