About Wi Jammin

Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham

Wi Jammin in Birmingham is tucked away in a surprisingly quiet spot, a real find. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed; think warm lighting, reggae playing softly in the background, and a friendly buzz. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the space features colourful artwork and comfortable seating – perfect for a casual dinner or a catch-up with friends.

Their menu focuses on classic Caribbean dishes with a modern twist. I spotted jerk chicken that looked incredible – a perfectly glazed colour and juicy texture. They also had several vegetarian options, including a vibrant-looking callaloo soup, and a great selection of sides like plantains and rice and peas. I'd definitely recommend trying their oxtail stew, judging by the photo online, it looked incredibly tender and rich.

What makes Wi Jammin special is its genuine warmth and the feeling of escaping to the islands for a few hours, even in Birmingham. It's the kind of place that's perfect for a celebratory dinner with friends, a romantic date night, or just a weeknight treat. It's a welcome addition to Birmingham's culinary scene and a cut above other Caribbean restaurants I've tried because of its relaxed vibe and delicious food.

AMAZING food and big portions. Food was still sizzling even though it's 3 miles away. Goat and oxtail super tasty and crispy fresh dumplings. Polite lady driver too. Best I had in a long time and will definitely be back.

I would of given full stars because the food is lovely but the pattie let them down that authentic co pattie brand is awful it has 0 taste and is not an original patty like a tastee or even a grandad pattie the authentic co is cheap brand an is for english people not for people who know how pattie fi taste but apart from that there OWN cooked food is lovely!

The food is very good. You can taste all the flavours and all the seasonings. The service is very professional. I tried with the drinks for the first time and it’s on point. I would recommend them to anyone and they get five star all the way.

Postives first - the fried chicken was great. Marinated, seasoned, cooked well. 10/10. Unfortunately no jerk available. No patties available either. Not so good.. the oxtail. Really, really lacking in flavour. Tasted of nothing. Rice and greens were good though. The greens had more flavour than the gravy! Would return, but only for the chicken next time.
