About The Bambu Garden Caribbean Takeaway

Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham

Stepping into The Bambu Garden Caribbean Takeaway in Birmingham felt like a mini-vacation. It's a cheerful, casual spot – perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed takeout meal. The atmosphere is bright and friendly; I didn't get to see the space in person but the reviews mention great customer service, which made a difference. It's clearly a popular place, judging by the enthusiastic reviews I read.

Their menu boasts a fun mix of Jamaican and English dishes, a really interesting fusion. They offer jerk chicken (in various forms!), curried goat, and sticky wings – all the Caribbean classics you'd expect. One review mentioned delicious Slovakian pastries, which I found totally unexpected and intriguing! Based on what I saw in the reviews, I'd definitely try the jerk lamb and maybe even a pastry for a sweet ending.

This place is ideal for a quick, satisfying Caribbean meal, whether you're grabbing takeout or eating in. The positive reviews highlight the fantastic flavours and friendly service, and the unusual menu combinations (Jamaican-English-Slovakian pastries!) set it apart from other Caribbean restaurants. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a weekend lunch with friends – a taste of the Caribbean right here in Birmingham.

Went on the opening day. The food was amazing, everyone loved it! The fact that your order is re-read out to you added to the customer service as it ensures mistakes weren’t made and added to the experience. Everyone was lovely, and the flavour of everything was on point! 10/10 recommend to everyone without a shadow of a doubt

Came when the restaurant first opened. Ate in, food was so good. The menu is a fusion of Jamaican with English. They also have Slovakian pastries on offer along with baps and sandwiches. We ate boneless jerk, jerk lamb and sticky chicken wings.

I just had curry goat and fried chicken with white rice, the food was amazing and tastes good. The Bambu Garden restaurant in Sutton Coldfield is my favourite place to eat out. This is the best Caribbean food yet! I love the food and would recommend the restaurant to anyone in Sutton Coldfield and Erdington area, who loves Caribbean food! The staff is polite and friendly.

I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken was hard and very chewy, the rice had a foul smell, and the mac and cheese was completely dry. Honestly, the food seemed like it had been cooked two days ago. This was the worst dining experience I’ve had, and I would not recommend ordering from this place.

Really tasty food and fast service! The sauce on the jerk chicken was lovely. Their prices are super affordable too. We had a boneless chicken meal, jerk wrap and then a Mac and cheese to takeaway, it was great. The place is tastefully decorated too. Good to support local businesses!
