Sweet's Kitchen in Birmingham is a charming little spot; it's tucked away, so you might need to look for it, but the effort is worth it. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, very much homey with colourful artwork adorning the walls. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the space is bright and airy, creating a welcoming feel.
The menu features classic Caribbean dishes with some interesting twists. They have all the standards like jerk chicken and rice and peas, but also some unique options I'd love to try again. One photo shows a perfectly plated plate of curried goat; it looked amazing! I went with the oxtail stew, which was incredibly tender and flavorful, and highly recommend it.
What makes Sweet's Kitchen special is its genuine warmth and home-style cooking. It's the type of place where you feel comfortable settling in for a long, leisurely meal. In the midst of unpacking I can’t find the pots and pans. Lol. So I googled my home comforts and Sweet Kithcen popped up. We were serviced and this food is coming in clutch lol. We got 2 brown stew chickens, 2 chicken soups , 2 oxtails, peas and rice. The coleslaw was finished on the ride home delicious. Fresh made to order I’ll be back.
Was served with manners and a smile. Lovely owners, and even better food! Could smell it before I even got out my car! Great value for money, will definitely be returning!
First time trying Sweet's Kitchen, honestly this place gets top marks from me. I love it when I go to a cuisine and it tastes like a beautiful home cooked meal. I had the large jerk chicken with rice and peas + a side of plantain. To drink I had sexy juice and a bottle water. The food was fresh and hot. Real great quality, rich and flavoursome dish Customer Service was 10/10. I will definitely be going back. Thanks guys ✌️
First delivery order from this establishment. It was mouthwatering delicious! Arrived within half an hour and was very hot and very tasty. Had to ring the lady and compliment her straight away. Never done that before!! Will be ordering again and again.😋😋😋
Elite homemade Caribbean food. Highly recommended for everyone to try out!!! Edit: just recently tried the boneless curry mutton & it was exceptional!!! Edit: recently tried the stew beef dinner - elite as well!!!
