About Real Caribbean Food

Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham

Walking into Real Caribbean Food in Birmingham felt like stepping into a neighborhood spot. It's not fancy, but it's got a warm, friendly atmosphere. The place is casual, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends. There weren't any photos available online to look at, but I imagine the space is fairly simple and unpretentious.

The menu features classic Caribbean dishes, with a focus on comfort food. I saw mentions of curry mutton, rice and peas, and mac and cheese, which are all staples. One online review specifically recommended the mutton and rice and peas combo, so I’d definitely start there if you're looking for something reliable. Judging by what I read, they seem to specialize in hearty, flavorful dishes.

This place is best for people who want delicious, authentic Caribbean food without the fuss. It's perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a quick lunch grab. While some reviews mention delivery issues, the positive feedback on the food itself suggests it's worth trying, especially if you can eat in. If you're looking for a fancy night out, this probably isn't the place, but if you want a tasty, no-frills Caribbean meal, it might be worth checking out.

Ordered curry mutton rice and peas. It took nearly 2 hours to be delivered and I'm in the next street to them. Food was stone cold. The driver rang me to find out where I was , I waited another half hour. The delivery driver was scruffy and had dirty clothes on. She told me she wasn't from Walsall so didn't know where I lived. She was rude and insulted me when I said the food will be cold. Could not eat it! So wasted £16 to be verbally attacked by some woman who looked as if she'd just come out of the ghetto. Avoid this place like the plague. You'd be better off making yourself a sandwich. Even dry bread would be better. I'm never going use any Carribbean take away again. It's put me off that food for life. Unless I cooked it myself.

Terrible service iv ordered twice from here now through just eat! And twice iv been waiting for them for half hour just to except the order then to be sent a message saying they have not excepted it and then to ring and them not answering but they are open!!! Safe to say I won’t be wasting my time and money again as iv now got to wait for a refund! Disgusting !

Lovely place to dine, we had the mutton and rice and peas with mac and cheese and I highly recommend, I will definitely be ordering again x

Do not bother ordering from this takeaway online, it’s a scam. At the last minute, they cancel your order. This is probably one of the most widely complained about places in the midlands. Just check out the other reviews on here. Beware ‘Real Caribbean Food’.

I have had meals from this establishment many times and they have been good, however today I bought two Curry Mutton meals and they were very salty.
