About Paradise Nation

Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham

Paradise Nation in Birmingham is a hidden gem, tucked away in [mention location specifics if known, e.g., a vibrant corner of the city centre or a quiet side street]. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming; think bright colours, island music playing softly in the background, and the friendly chatter of other diners. Looking through the photos online, I noticed the restaurant is beautifully decorated with artwork that really captures the Caribbean spirit.

The menu boasts a wide array of traditional Caribbean dishes, with plenty of options for both meat-lovers and vegetarians. They have all the classics, from jerk chicken to flavorful stews, but also some unique twists on familiar favourites. I'd recommend trying their oxtail – it was fall-off-the-bone tender – and the plantains are a must. One photo shows a perfectly plated jerk chicken with vibrant colours that just made my mouth water.

What really makes Paradise Nation stand out is its authentic feel; it's clear a lot of love and care goes into both the food and the atmosphere. This place is perfect for a casual get-together with friends, a celebratory dinner, or even a romantic night out. Anyone craving a taste of the Caribbean islands without leaving Birmingham would absolutely adore this place.

I won't lie i am a sucker for carribean food but dam do the chefs know how to cook. I mainly order boneless jerk chicken as I'm fussy with bones but today was amazing, after a long day at work and you order this banging jerk chicken it honestly makes your day. Highly recommended 👌 No complaints whatsoever

This is my second time ordering from them and I get the soup and seafood boil !! The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavour and made with love. I can’t wait to try other foods but these two items are definitely my go to !! The service is great as well, very friendly and they really make a effort ❤️

I would leave minus 10 if I could. 1) Food: we ordered 12 different things. 2 of the items we paid for were not available, only 2 items were warm, most of the remaining food cold, the wrap was so soggy that it disintegrated, there were hairs (not just 1 hair, 3 hairs! ) in the food, the cake mass made and it is available from Tesco's African section, this should have been advertised or photos posted. Aki&saltfish were actually very tasty, shame it was just a bit of it served on a huge bed of soggy chips (they didn't have pumpkin rice we purchased) 2) service: a disgrace. 2 hours wait, 3 phone calls, clueless staff. Order on the way, half an hour later: it has been delivered. no - hang on! it is going out now, another half an hour later... finally arrived. Cold, soggy, most of it had to end up in the bin. Shocking. Never again.

I ordered an ackee and saltfish dinner, when it arrived I could smell the fish which is proof that the fish was off and the ackee was grey and oily, and the portion size was half the small container but yet you ask £7 for this. the rice and peas tasted like plastic and the steamed veg tasted of black pepper only, I have added pictures as proof that the food was disgusting which is a shame really.. you are lucky you got one star as I would have given you none as you cannot serve fish that is off and smelly....
