About Little Miss Cuisine
Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham
Stepping into Little Miss Cuisine in Birmingham felt like a quick trip to the Caribbean. It's a small, open space with bar stool seating – very casual and friendly. The photos online showed a bright, clean kitchen area and the overall vibe is relaxed and informal, perfect for a quick, informal meal.
The menu focuses on Caribbean staples. They definitely specialize in their salmon dishes, based on several reviews mentioning generous portions and perfectly cooked rice. One photo shows a perfectly plated salmon dish with rice and steamed vegetables; another review raves about their unique slushies, though they seem to be very sweet. I'd definitely try the salmon and maybe one of those slushies – just be aware it might be very sweet if you're sensitive to sugar!
What really sets Little Miss Cuisine apart is its 24/7 availability – a huge plus for late-night cravings. It's great for a quick, affordable meal, but the reviews also highlight inconsistency – some people rave about it, while others have had issues with their food. I think those looking for authentic Caribbean flavors at any hour will enjoy this place, keeping in mind that experiences vary.

Alot of liars n the reviews! I've never had an issue with service. The food's very nice. Fresh press juices are a hit. A lil bit pricey I'd say
The food was nice. Two medium trays of salmon, with rice, steamed veg and a medium slush £16. The slush was really nice (red one) I don't even know what flavour it was I just know it was a good burst of 3 different undertone flavours, really nice. Only thing is when it melted (due to the 34°c heat) like most melted slushies it was reaaally sweet. In my opinion like undrinkabley sweet. Only drank half and had to throw the rest away, be nice if they did a small version (for kids aswell) The food was nice and the ammount of salmon was decent 2 full nice pieces, the equivalent of a packet from a supermarket that would cost you about £3-£4.50+ depending on where you go. I say this because I've brought salmon from a good few different jamaican food shops and it's normally a piece and cut up pieces made to look like more than it is. The steamed veg and rice was nice but no offence just like somthing I've tasted in a few other jamaican food shops. So it's hard not to compare. If your a big rice fan you'll love it, not sticky, not stodgy, no lumps of rice, was cooked perfectly I think I needed some coleslaw really instead of the steamed veg. Think it was the sauce on the salmon I wasn't too keen on tbh I should of checked what kind of sauce it was (it was nice just not for me). I like my salmon pan fried and slightly golden brown. That salmon would of been amazing without the sauce, fried dumplings with plantin and steamed cabbage and coleslaw or somthing mmm (next time). I would of gave 4 and a half stars if the star rating worked on halfs. Then I would of gave 5 stars but I just wasn't too keen on the sauce on the salmon. Anyway I would recommend this place, because it was nice, piping hot (and not microwave hot because you can tell the difference straight away). I would go back to try other things on the menu. The service was nice, friendly staff. Didn't have to wait too long for the food. (Under 5minutes) Bar stool style seating. Open door and the fan was on for a nice much needed breeze. : )
I have eaten from here but my outlook as changed dramatically after eating the curry chicken and rice today. Just half a hour later my belly started rumbling and in the most polite way I’ve almost spent as much time on the toilet as waiting for my food! Disappointed to say the least and confused because the food I ordered was on show and the only thing they had taken from the back was veg to warm up so I’m unsure where the bad bacteria has came from. The person serving the food was nice but the chef who runs the business is lacking key customer service and I don’t see her attitude towards people changing anytime soon. Visit another Caribbean place and save yourself the time on the toilet. P.s 9.50 for a medium curry chicken which serviced with cheap white rice and sliced chicken breast is way over priced.
Used little miss to cater a funeral, and the food was a hit. Excellent variety including vegetarian. We even had a mix up with the times and she handled it excellently couldn't fault her at all. Prices were also very competitive. Will definelty use again and from the raving reviews from the guest they will too. 5 stars
Been eating here for the last 10 years and have to say it’s the best Caribbean food place in Birmingham if not in the uk!! Food is always fresh and portions are big, good value for your money and the taste is out of this world, we’ll recommend!!
