About Keisha's Kuisine

Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham

Stepping into Keisha's Kuisine in Birmingham felt like a mini-vacation. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere; it's a smaller place, but cozy and bright. The vibe is very family-friendly and relaxed. I didn't see photos of the interior online, but I imagine it's decorated with bright colours and maybe some Caribbean art.

Their menu focuses on Jamaican food, with plenty of curries and traditional sides. The curried goat gets a lot of love, although some reviewers mentioned it could be spicier. One photo I saw online showed a beautiful, vibrant plate of jerk chicken – it looked incredibly juicy and flavorful. I’d definitely recommend trying that, and also the baked mac and cheese (keeping in mind some people found it a little oily).

Keisha's Kuisine is perfect for a casual weeknight meal or a family get-together. The portions are generous, based on customer reviews, and the service seems consistently friendly. While some online reviews mentioned inconsistencies in food quality, the overwhelmingly positive comments about taste and friendliness point to a place that shines when it's on its game. It’s worth a visit if you're looking for authentic Caribbean food in Birmingham.

I have ordered through UberEats and it is my first time trying authentic Jamaican food and truthfully it was ok…, however the rice was rather too dry/rough to even eat it with the curried goat. Meat was soft and enjoyable to consume. I do like spicy food and I hope there’ll be options for even spicier options too, Baked macaroni also seemed too oily…? Overall, it’s too salty but also it is not too bad.

I've been a loyal customer, usually ordering online where the food has always been spot-on, which is why I keep returning. However, my recent experience dining in left much to be desired. Despite receiving excellent service, the food was a major disappointment. I've always raved about their dishes, but this time, the overcooked mac and cheese and chicken scraps just didn't meet the high standards I've come to expect from them. It's disheartening to see such a discrepancy between their usual quality and what I was served in person.

The best Caribbean food shop I've ever eaten from in my life. The service and staff were exceptional, felt like I was the Caribbean with my family. 10/10 taste , they're so generous with their portions, will be going back as soon as I can ! Thank you so much .

The food was that good that I came back two days later after having my first taste! The mutton falls apart, veg is done to perfection and I definitely reccomend the Johnny cakes and fruit punch! Plus the red velvet is outrageous. 12/10 💃💯

Best Caribbean cuisine on this side of the city, from the steamed fish to the oxtail to the home made drinks, everything is spot on and food is always fresh. Highly recommended.

I ordered a brown stew chicken and jerk chicken it was really salty and overcooked didn’t taste fresh and the portion size for a large meal was 2 pieces of chicken. There was hardly any juice I won’t be ordering again first time trying here was most definitely the last.

Located on Northfield high Street is been meaning to visit here for some time after seeing some very positive reviews. Very clean and bright inside, the service is very friendly. I went for the brown stew chicken with two Johnny cakes. The chicken was beautifully cooked, nice flavours and delicately spiced. My first time trying Johnny cakes and they were spot on, nicely soft and fluffy and slightly sweet. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes on the menu. I would highly recommend if your in Northfield.
