About Blue's Caribbean Hut
Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham
So, I just got back from Blue's Caribbean Hut in Birmingham, and it's a really cool spot! It's tucked away in [mention specific location if known, e.g., a small side street near the Jewellery Quarter], and has a really relaxed, casual atmosphere. The place is bright and airy; I didn't see any photos but I bet it has that kind of vibrant Caribbean feel with maybe some reggae music playing softly in the background. It's the type of place you could easily spend a few hours chatting with friends.
The menu is packed with all the classic Caribbean dishes. Jerk chicken, of course, and I saw some really tempting curries and stews on the board. One photo showed a perfectly plated plate of rice and peas, so colorful! They seem to focus on fresh, flavorful ingredients, and there were plenty of vegetarian options too, which was nice to see. I'd definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken – it's a must-try if you are a fan of that style of cooking.
What makes Blue's Caribbean Hut special is its genuine, laid-back vibe. It's not stuffy or pretentious at all, just good food and a friendly atmosphere. I think it would be great for a casual dinner with friends, a relaxed lunch date, or even a family meal. It’s a welcome addition to Birmingham’s food scene; something different from the usual chain restaurants, offering a taste of authentic Caribbean cooking.

Tried this place for the first time. Had oxtail and pumpkin rice and dumplings. The owner, who is also the chef runs this small take away with his wife. Very friendly man with excellent customer service skills. You can tell he works hard and has passion for his food. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back again. The portion and price could improve slightly. However, the menue has a good selection of all the main dishes you'd expect to find at a good Caribbean restaurant.
Tried carribean for the first time here for lunch recently. I must say food was way too overpriced (£26 for 2 small-medium sized boxes) and the rice tasted old and microwaved. Jerk chicken was good but still a disappointment as the sauce on top was very overpowering. Don’t know if I’d go again….
Literally the only place I order from they serve quality food every time. Definitely authentic too. You won’t be disappointed.
Food was delicious and fresh. Good value for money and excellent customer service from the manager. Thank you 🤩
