About Blue Marlin Perry Barr
Caribbean Restaurant in Birmingham
Blue Marlin Perry Barr is a really cool spot tucked away in Birmingham. The atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant; it felt very much like a neighborhood gem. The photos online showed a bright, clean space with lots of natural light, and the seating looked comfortable.
Their menu focuses on Caribbean classics with a modern twist. I saw jerk chicken, of course, but also some interesting seafood dishes – that's how they got the name, I suppose. One photo showed a perfectly plated red snapper with a bright, colourful salsa that looked amazing; I'd definitely recommend trying their fish dishes.
What makes Blue Marlin special is that easy, welcoming vibe. It's the kind of place perfect for a casual weeknight dinner with friends or a slightly more special weekend meal. It’s not fussy, but it's clearly made with care and attention to good food – a nice change from the usual chain restaurants. I think anyone who appreciates good Caribbean food and a relaxed atmosphere would love it.

This place is doing the work of god let me tell you, from 2011/12 back when it was " the dutch pot" to now, they still make a*+ authentic jamaican food, se rved with a smile, great staff, a true community hub. Godbless Blue marlin. If everyone had food this good there'd be no issues in the world 🤷♂️🏆
