Angella Caribbean Takeaway in Birmingham is a charming little spot; it's not fancy, more of a casual takeaway, but the space feels clean and welcoming. I didn't see any photos online, but I could imagine the walls might be brightly colored, maybe with some Caribbean artwork. The whole vibe is relaxed and friendly; you can tell it’s a place focused on good food.
Their menu is fairly straightforward, filled with classic Caribbean dishes. They've got jerk chicken, of course, plus goat curry, rice and peas, and a good selection of sides. One photo online showed a perfectly plated plate of jerk chicken with vibrant colors that really stood out. I'd definitely recommend trying their jerk chicken; it smelled incredible when I was there.
Angella's is the perfect spot for a quick, tasty, and affordable Caribbean lunch or dinner. It’s great for grabbing something on the go, or enjoying a casual meal with friends. What makes it special is the genuine feeling of warmth and the fresh flavors of the food – a real taste of the Caribbean in Birmingham. I think anyone who loves Caribbean food will appreciate this place.

I ordered 2 large mutton soups, wings, fritters and a patty …. The soups flavour was actually pretty good but unfortunately was pretty watery and had one dumpling and barely any meat in both portions. The patty was lovely - no complaints, wings was ok but the fritter was really disappointing…. It was tough and I only received 1 when it said fritter(s) and cost £1.50 Your delivery driver was really polite too but over all needs a few improvements - not bad 🙏🏾
Angella’s serves the best, fresh and authentic Caribbean food. The flavours are perfect, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The takeaway has a warm and relaxing vibe 👩🏾🍳👌🏼 They’re also halal and have a 5/5 hygiene rating, the takeaway is very organised and clean. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First time here and was amazing to say the least! Incredibly tasty food, would recommend the jerk chicken and curry goat! Fast service and a lovely family that work there. We are so blessed to have bought a house and have a Caribbean kitchen right by us! Brings us back to Jamaica… very happy and content :)
This was such a pleasant surprise, I had snapper, white rice and veg. When I called to request specific dietary requirements, they were met with no hesitation. When my food arrived, it was hot and the fish was not over cooked, you can tell you're eating fresh food made on the day. I 100% recommend everyone to try it out, it's the tastiest and most authentic carribean takeaway in Sandwell. Clean, tasty great service and fair prices.
First time ordering from here and very happy! The jerk chicken was delicious with just the right amount of heat for my taste, and there was plenty of rice and peas too. Oxtail was also very nice and the side of fried plantain was great, not at all greasy like some other places. Will be ordering again!
